Symbolism of the Flag: White background: represents purity and innocence Maroon/Burgundy: represents transition, change and citizenship Blue: represents the sky and water we share Black (in text): represents history and strength Symbolism of the Emblem: Fish: represents prosperity, as well as three being a prominent number Arrows: represents nature and instinct, as well as five representing the official languages
