At Fairy Meadows we had a wonderful old man looking after us, making fires for us in the morning and night, making tea whenever he saw us sitting around, and cooking delicious food for us for breakfast and in the evening. He used to be a shepherd in the hills around Fairy Meadows but at 69 is now too old for shepherding. Earlier this summer he asked the owner (Alam of Fairy Meadows View Point) if he could have a job and Alam decided to help him out. He was really kind and friendly despite his only English being 'OK, OK, OK'
