The firm focuses on growth potentials of technology, healthcare, communications, financials and specialty retailing sectors. Galleon Management invests in particularly in the semiconductor, communications equipment, computers, software, technology services, Internet, e-commerce and wireless sub-sectors. The firm also invests in pharmaceutical, medical supply/technology, biotechnology, genomics, healthcare service and healthcare information technology companies. Galleon Management utilizes a combination of top-down, bottom-up and technical research approach in selecting investments. The firm makes use of top-down research to target sectors, bottom-up research to identify undervalued stocks that have growth catalysts, and technical analysis to set price targets and identify stop-loss targets.
