Psychic Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Deuteronomy 18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do. Acts 16:16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: Acts 16:17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which show unto us the way of salvation. Acts 16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. 1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 1 Corinthians 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Busting Tips Is it ok for Christians to seek counsel, advice, or guidance from psychics? Answer - no. Why? The psychic's claim of supernatural or mystical knowledge is demonic, and hence destructive. The Bible calls it a spirit of divination. This is the same spirit that incites witchcraft, voodoo, obeah, sorcery, speaking to the dead, Ouija boards, etc. Essentially, anyone that claims supernatural knowledge or communication with the spirit world, or invoking spirits under demonic influence, should be avoided. The Bible warns that seeking guidance from these mediums may result in: 1. The break up of the family. (Isaiah 47:9) 2. Open the doors to sexual uncleanness.(Hosea 4:12-13). But sometimes they predict correctly. Well, remember that the devil has knowledge of some things. For example, they are familiar with your ways. A correct prediction does not mean it is of God, or right. The devil will use partial truth to deceive and destroy. (Acts 16:16-18, Deuteronomy 13:1-3) What to do if you have become entangled with these demonic mediums? Immediately repent of this activity. Confess and forsake this sin. The power of Christ will deliver you from any demonic oppression. (Acts 8:9-23) Renounce it openly, before two to three witnesses. This may be done in the form of a testimony, or with those who are supporting your walk with Christ. (Acts 8:7-12, Acts 19:17-18) Destroy or get rid of all items that was given as a medium from any psychic, spiritual guide, voodoo worker, or any other such forms spiritual mediums.(Acts 19:19) Continue embracing the Lordship of Christ in your life. Seek His will, and guidance in all things. Embrace a local church fellowship. Where should Christians go for guidance? God has given believers the Holy Spirit for guidance. Believers must build a personal relationship with Christ. Christ will lead his people. (John 10:4-5) The Bible contains the answers we need to live productive lives. What about prophets? Ephesians 4 speaks of the ministry office of prophet; it is therefore a legitimate ministry gift. However, their calling is primarily to preach the word of God, and warn God's church. God may use them to prophesy, but this is not meant to replace the personal witness of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, only as a confirmation. Believers should be aware that there are false prophets - those who deny the foundational truths of Christianity, and who consistently predict falsely. God never intended for believers to run to prophets when guidance is needed. Seek God in prayer, and the study of the word of God. Local church leaders can also give godly counsel. God will use a prophet or the gift of prophecy in your life as He chooses.
