Objectives of OSH-WIND Lower the risk in farming activities by developing and delivering effective system on occupational safety and health for the ARBs and their households to increase productivity.
EXPECTED PROGRAM OUTPUTS • A pool of capable OSH-WIND Champions • Trainers’ manual and IEC materials • A pool of community-based OSH WIND Paratechnicians • Adoption of OSH measures by the ARB couples • Mainstreaming of OSH in communitybased social health insurance (CBSHI) projects and in the services of Kalahi Farmers’ Center (KFC).

1. Covered three agrarian reform communities in Isabela 2. Trained 24 OSH-WIND Champions and 27 paratechnicians. 3. Trained 91 OSH-WIND ARB couples 4. Drafted 1 OSH-WIND Manual for Rice-producing ARCs including OSH measures on handling fertilizers and pesticides and the job hazard analysis on rice farming 5. Produced 5 relevant IECM materials e.g., fliers, flipchart, brochure, comics and teaser 6. Conducted OSH WIND caravan as part of social marketing 7. Prepared guidelines for awards and recognition and corresponding evaluation tool

Managing Farm Chemicals
Before farms chemicals used to scattered in the backyard of OSH WIND Couple Ronel and Robilyn Daguro of San Manuel ARC, Echague, Isabela. Upon learning in OSH WIND seminar that this practice is hazardous, they put up a simple warehouse to store their farm chemicals properly.

Use of Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) during Palay Winnowing
Nannete Dizo and Baby De la Cruz, both members of OSH WIND Couples of Brgy. Bagnos, Alicia, Isabela were not using any PPEs during palay winnowing before. Upon their attendance to the OSH WIND seminar and training the previous practice was improved. They are now using PPEs like eye protector while doing this work .

The ARB couple has adopted waste segregation in their household.
Improvements in Household Areas
The ARB couple has put up a shed in the artesian well area to protect the household members from heat and the rain while washing clothes or fetching water.
Improvements on Backyard Gardening
The ARB couple has established a seedlings nursery so they can share some seedling to their relatives, neighbors and friends.
Problems, Issues and Concerns On the Adoption: 1. Lack of resources to implement their targeted low cost projects e.g. purchase of gloves, boots, mask, repair/construction of backyard fence/roof, etc. 2. Inadequate knowledge of paratechnicians in providing information on first aid/emergency assistance
On Program Operations: 1. No OSH standards and Policies for Agriculture to be used as anchorage for monitoring OSH adoption 2. Need to upgrade the capabilities of implementors on OSH for agriculture 3. Delays in the technical review on the OSH content of the manual 4. Lack of logistics support like the provision of computers , supplies, vehicle for monitoring, etc. Problems, Issues and Concerns
