Dear parents, once again we welcome you all to the Laurel High Family which aims in Awakening the Genius in Every Child. I can understand as a parent’s point of view that it’s important for the children to get comfortable environment other than their home. Experts believe that 3-5 years of age is the appropriate time for a child to learn about perception, creativity, logical thinking, counting, language skills, social interaction and good behaviour. Laurel High Montessori provides a number of enriching experiences including story telling, role play, floor games, group activities, art, dance, field excursions, puppet shows, sports etc. Interactive play based methodology is followed where several activities are integrated around a value based theme to make learning more meaningful and valuable. Dear Parents Your child is not a baby anymore, not even a toddler, now your little one is a pre schooler. She is of to school every morning now, like a big kid. Yes of course, instead of that cheerfulness you may find a few initial days – especially Monday – starting with tears or may be a tummy ache. Don’t worry about that. Few kids need an extra help adjusting to the start of the formal school. You just need to facilitate your child’s bonding with the teacher. A teacher afects eternity: she can never tell where her influence stops – said the famous American Historian Henry Adams. Yes, the influence a teacher can have on her pupils is amazing! And, the role a teacher plays in the life of children – not imparting knowledge alone, but also moulding character. So, let us salute all the teachers and give them a huge round of applause. Develop a good working relationship with the child’s teacher. Many parents feel as if teachers are their opponents and don’t realize that we all are here to try and help our children grow in the best possible way. If you feel that there may be an issue, it is a good idea to set up a meeting with the teacher and ask how you both can work in harmony. Too many parents call teachers to demand and accuse, instead of saying that we would like to solve this problem together. Before going to the senior authorities with a complaint, see if you can difuse the situation.

Yes, if there will be any special concern we all are here to help you out. But first try to figure out and develop a harmonious relationship with your child’s teacher, right? You are also requested to co ordinate the pickup and drop of timings with the transport incharge – Mr. Jitender to avoid any inconvenience. The route will take a few days time to settle so you are again requested to co operate for the same.

We have given you some useful tips to raise our children together. You all are requested to please read the handout carefully

at your home.

A child is never too young to learn about obedience or good manners. Guide his behaviour right from the beginning. If the elders are polite and use the magic words like please, excuse me, sorry, and thank you, the child will also be courteous.

Remember: Children close their ears to advice, but open their eyes to example.

To inculcate discipline amongst the children kindly read the guidelines carefully. We seek your co operation for efective functioning and to strengthen the building of harmonious relationship. So we wish you all and your ward a very happy time ahead. Thank you
