Harrow West Watch Newsletter for Oct/Nov2009 Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night. We will be liasing with local supermarkets and shops regarding the selling of eggs to young people in the run up to these events. We will also be on duty over this period and will be visiting all those shops that sell fireworks, and advising the owners of the law and their responsibilities. Cash Machine Card Thefts……… Sadly, once again the cash points in Pinner have become the target of fraudsters. Devices have been placed on the card slot of the machine that prevents the card being returned to the user. Together with the banks, we have placed pictures of these devices next to each machine. Please take time to check the picture and machine before you use it. If in doubt please contact the bank. It is a good idea to carry the cancellation details for your cards with you in your wallet, purse or on your mobile phone. In the unlikely event that you become a victim of these offences you can cancel your card immediately.

We know summer is still here but……… The evenings will start to draw in soon. Do you have timer switches for your lights and radio’s? Do the bulbs in your security lights work? Burglaries in the area have dropped dramatically, and you still live and work in one of the safest boroughs in London. Lets keep it this way please don’t make your house an obvious target.
