Ocean of Wisdom
I stand on the edge of the great ocean of samsara having discovered the shore in the Four Noble Truths As i reflect on my part in the choices I make i see the next step to take is all of my own The ocean of life spans forever before me beyond my sight to a point I cannot see i think of the Noble 8-fold path and allow for my potential, the buoyancy of wisdom, of the others who have gone before me Hesitating for a moment and dipping a toe, the shudder of change goes through me I let go of the past and focus on this moment moment by moment leaving past moments, leaving future moments in a state of renunciation i move forward Diving into the Dharma, the truth and observing it flow through and around One devoted stroke at a time i swim the Great Ocean of Samsara freely without attachments to sink me and with clear intentions i know i only need swim with faith until there is no longer a need to; for the buoyancy of the Buddha requires no ocean. With metta for all sentient beings P. Hammond
