Number of Wings on 2 Liter Question, Hypothesis, Procedure (Clear pictures required for full credit for the procedure portion), Data Table, Graph, Conclusions Question - How does the number of wings on the bottom rocket bottle affect how far the rocket will travel? Hypothesis - If we add more wings to the bottom bottle of the rocket then it will fly farther because it will go straighter because the wings will stabilize it more. Controlled Variables - Wing size - Angle of Launch - Amount of water in bottles - Size of Bottles - Wing Placement Materials - Two 2 liter pop bottles - Two 16 oz pop bottles - Card Board - Knife - Water - Wings - Air Compressor. - Duck Tape Procedure - Get 2 liter and 16 oz. bottle - Tape bottles together with the bottoms touching (two liter is the bottom of the rocket) - Fill small bottle with 150 ml on top and 750 ml in the big bottle on bottom - Cut x amount of 6 by 12 wings - Tape on 3 wings on the 2 liter bottle per each data set - Put on the launcher - Pull metal slaps over the cap lip to clamp it - Fill with air - Pull string - Go out to the rocket and measure how far it went in meters
