“St. Francis Xavier, a welcoming faith community lovingly sharing the gifts of God.”

32ND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME NOVEMBER 9TH, 2008 IN YOUR PRAYERS: We pray for our loved ones who have died. We pray for our sick, especially Kathy Quinn, Kurt Spitznagel, Mary Russell, Kathy Searson, Elvina Zavitski, Joyce McMahon, Stan Deacon, Gerry Emon, Richard Leppert, Lucille Leveck-Kalimeris, Joseph Valliquette, Stella Kearney, Elizabeth Brumm, Tracy Mulvihill, Gladys McNulty, Marie Hanrahan, Mary Drake, Ed Lee, Shirley Church, Claude Gagnon and Helen Valliquette.

ALL SOULS LITURGY: The special celebration of our parish for All Saints and All Souls was requested by the Liturgy Committee to highlight this fall since they both fell on the same weekend. Many parishioners have commented on the Children’s Liturgy on Sunday which included the installation of the “Book of the Dead” and the prayerful calling of the names of our family parish family. We owe recognition and special thanks to David and Carol Sulpher for their generous and committed effort in preparing the young people and for the beautiful candle lighting ceremony at this Mass.

Hockey Game: Thursday, November 13th – Ottawa Senators vs New York Islanders. There are 15 tickets remaining!!!!!! so let your friends and family know they still have an opportunity to attend the game. Cost : $45.00 & food donations for New Connections Ministries. Cash or cheque made payable to St. Francis Xavier at the parish office. The bus will depart from the church parking lot at 6:00 p.m. Please remember to bring your food donations as well as your ticket receipt.

PARISH MINISTRIES SCREENING PROGRAM: All persons active in any form of Parish ministry should be registered by way of a form which is filled here at the office. We are currently reviewing our files and will be requesting people fill in a form. In a few ministries you will be asked to provide a “police check” which we realize is an added task. Please understand that this administration matter is mandated by the Diocese and is for our mutual support of prudent management of the parish. “LIVING OUR FAITH”: The Parish Pastoral Council and the Property and Finance Committee

at their November meetings this week had presentations on the possibility of our parish joining in some way with a parish in the Diocese of Peru. Perhaps we could think of making an ongoing commitment to a faith community and share with them the talent and resources we are blest with. As such, God’s blessings in our life become “grace” to them.
