Security of shipping and receiving areas – visitors, parcels, letters etc. 5. Area security – Local area, what’s close by, threats 6. Think about cordons! Notes: Do we have a defined parameter? – think about it. Cost everything!! Think about robot security Entrances and exits, has it got more than one floor? Think about internal layout, guests apartments, will guests be with VIP’s or near them. Public rooms. Is staff to be onsite? PPO living quarters, where will they be (next room to principle). Op’s room, panic room. Cordons Think about outer cordon – wall or fence – intermediate cordon (the grounds). Inner cordons, walls and doors of the building – reason to protect principle! To scrutinise, control and surprise all visitors (Lights etc). To deter, delay and detect intruders and restrict their movements. To monitor and control access to the VIP and or their family. Communications What do we think of communication cordons? Telephones, Radio comms (prevention, improvement etc) - direct comms to emergency services.
