Crime StoppersNeeds Your Help If you are aware of criminal activity in our community, call Crime Stoppers at (585) 423-9300. No one will ask your name and you may earn a cash reward of up to $5,000 if your information leads to an arrest and felony indictment. You will not be required to testify, and you will never be identified.
Meeting with Councilwoman Warren am happy to report that the North East has more than 30 vibrant and active block clubs, community, and neighborhood groups. Please know that it is my goal to attend as many of your meetings as possible to stay current and in touch with your issues and concerns. But unfortunately, community meeting times conflict with other Council obligations making it difficult for me to attend as many things as I would like.

Having a hands on approach has always been my goal as your North East Council representative. Please call me if there is something that needs my immediate attention. Now that school is out many of us our looking for fun and inexpensive ways to spend quality time with our children and their friends. This issue of the times is filled with many exciting activities taking place here in the North East.
Free Summer meals for Rochester Children
T
he City of Rochester will provide free breakfast and lunch to children 18 years and under through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program.
Sixty sites will serve lunch and about fifty sites will serve breakfast Monday through Friday through August 29th. Sites include community agencies, schools, churches, and recreation centers throughout the city. To find a location near you please call (585) 428-7872.
You will also find information on a free breakfast and lunch program for Rochester children, as well as how you can help R Community Bikes, a program that repairs and provides bikes free of charge to residents in need in our community. Biz Kid$ Camp

f you know of children between the ages of 10 through 13, that are interested in developing a real business plan, learning how to look and act as a professional, managing their time and money, promoting a business, and preparing for the future, tell them about Biz Kid$!
Adopt a Garden
H
elping to plant a community garden in one of the more than 80 existing City park gardens, is a rewarding way to revitalize our neighborhoods and meet new friends. If you or members of your Block Club would like to volunteer, please call (585) 428-8820.
Biz Kid$ is a free camp that provides youth an opportunity to explore entrepreneurship through fun, fast-paced games and activities. Participants will be rewarded with business cards, a canvas briefcase, calculator, and receipt book to help them start and maintain their businesses. Also, there is a chance to win cash prizes upon completion of the camp.
311 One call to City Hall y calling 311, City residents, businesses and visitors can call to reach City Hall and receive information, request services and report problems. From refuse collection, getting library hours, to reporting a stray dog in your neighborhood and a whole lot more, 311 is ready to help.

If someone calls 311 who speaks a language that 311 staff cannot speak, a third-party translation service will join the call. Also, the 311 Center has automated technology to respond to hearing-impaired callers. The TDD/TTY direct number for 311 is (585) 428-7600.

Bike Giveaway program in Need ecently, a warehouse used by a not for profit group that restores used bicycles and gives them away to low income City residents was broken into and more than 30 bikes were stolen.

R Community Bikes at 226 Hudson Avenue gives away about 500 bikes a year and repairs another 500 for free. As a result of the theft, three bike giveaways scheduled for this summer will have to be scaled back.
