a North Creek Park is a regional park within the Snohomish County Parks and Recreation System. The Bailey family, historic homesteaders, originally owned the land and used it for timber harvest and later for farming. It was acquired for use as a regional stormwater detention facility and to provide flood control, but it also offers a rich habitat for a variety of birds, mammals and amphibians. Throughout the year, pedestrians take advantage of the through park boardwalk that provides an excellent vantage point to view this rich and diverse environment. Park Features include: q Interpretive board walk q Educational signage q Picnic grounds/Picnic Shelter q Playground q Portable restroom q Viewpoints

This checklist is a single effort by Cindy Easterson and is based on personal observations as well as census data from nearby areas with similar habitats. While most of the species listed are likely inhabitants or visitors to the wetlands, some species will be found in the wooded & scrub/shrub areas located both north and south of the park. Please always stay in the public right-of-ways and respect sensitive habitat areas.
