Nolan 26 Whitney Circle Windsor, Connecticut 06095 Dear Training Deputy Fire Chief Nolan: This is to confirm that, effective at the close of business today, Monday, April 21, 2008, you are being placed on administrative leave with pay until further notice pending an investigation into recent allegations against you concerning your conduct as the Training Deputy Fire Chief and your vehicle usage. The City of Hartford takes these allegations seriously and as such must take appropriate administrative action to ensure an objective investigation. While on administrative leave, you must be available to the City during the hours of your regular work schedule. Please provide me as soon as possible with a telephone number at which you may be contacted. During this administrative leave, you are not to visit any Fire Department facilities nor contact any employees in the Fire Department unless you receive permission from me. If you need to access your office for any personal effects, please contact me to make the necessary arrangements.
