Etna Elementary School

Where we Think, Learn, Achieve, & Care. October 2008 ierantoni’s Place

Welcome Back! First of all, thank you for making the transition into our new building such a success. The students are off to a great start and it’s great to be in Etna Elementary! Speaking of being off to a great start, would you believe me if I told you that our school has read and tested on over a 1,000 books so far this school year? Would you also believe that there is

a way to see your child’s progress in Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math on a daily basis from your home or work computer? Explore the site listed below using your child’s “AR Name and Password” and you will see what your child did that day, recommended reading, past history, and even an link to get email updates! It is a great website and resource for you.

I hope that you take some time to use this site on a regular basis. It is one more way to continue communication between Etna Elementary and our parents. Together, we can Teach Learn Achieve & Care!

Introducing! We would like to welcome three of our new staff members.

Hi, I am Kris Rappleye; mother of three sons and two daughters, Grandma to eleven little cutie pies, and wife of Val; my hardworking, ambitious husband. I love to make rag quilts, cook, read, and am currently learning to ride my new horse, Daisy. I’ve been teaching for 19 wonderful years and I’m so excited to be teaching 6th Grade a half day and working part time as the after-school coordinator. I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
