REPENTANCE –“I will heal their land” (2Ch 7:14) The Temple was finally finished. The hard work of 70000 regular workers, 80000 stone workers and 3600 supervisors, was done. Some interior sections were covered with gold. Precious stones were shining. The Ark was moved to the Holy of Holies. One thing was still missing: the presence of God. And Solomon is praying: “And now arise, O Lord God, into Your resting-place”. (2Ch 6:41) And God answered his prayer: “And the glory of God filled the house” (2Ch 7:1) All people “they bowed their faces to the ground, and worshiped and praised Jehovah, saying, For He is good, for His mercy endures forever”. (2Ch 7:3) After 15 days of feasting Solomon returned to his house. But God didn’t finish speaking. God knows our tendency to forget His blessing and to get back to our own ways. Look around and we can see all things that brought great civilizations down. Can our nation be saved? Yes! God said: 1. “If My people, who are called by My name” – we have to turn back, from our confidence in our selves to God who gives us the true confidence. 2. “Shall humble themselves and pray” – we have to turn from trusting in us to trusting in God 3. “Seek My face” – we have to turn from our own ways and SEEK God. 4. “Turn from their wicked ways” – we have to turn from self tolerance to self examination. When will God heal our land? When people will turn to Him. The Bible tells us that we are going in a wrong direction and we have to come back to the right direction. What can we do? God’s people can bring the change and this change starts with everyone of us. Then we will see forgiveness, healing and blessing. READING. PA - On January 11, 2009 in our Bethany Romanian Church of God, we had a special service when Br. Danut Coman was ordained as Deacon and Br. Stefan Recalo was promoted to be a Presbyter. Our guests from Church of God were Br. Dennis McGuire, the Administrative Episcope of the Romanian churches, and his wife, De Rosa; Br. Lazar Gog and Br. Johnny Buia. During these services the Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way. The first service was Friday night when the Word of God was preached with great power. Ignoring the bad weather our brothers and sisters came to church where
they experienced a wonderful fellowship in the Lord. Sunday morning again the presence of God was very strong as Br. McGuire preached the Word and Br. Buia was translating. After 10 minutes of preaching the Holy Spirit moved, the preaching was interrupted and people started to pray with tears of joy. Glory to the Lord Jesus who healed Br. Petru Avram. He was sick of diabetes. We truly appreciate our brothers who visited us and we ask the Lord to reward their love and sacrifice. (Pastor Simion Avram)

The topic for 2009 is “The Lord’s Prayer”. Just imagine the country of Romania where in at least 1,000 churches, from morning to sunset, believers are raising their voices in prayer and crying: Lord, bless Romania! From 2006 Romanians from all over the world decided to unite in prayer for the country and all Romanians.
Pray with us that Romania will become a real Christian country, not just by declaration. Pray that Romanians will acknowledge Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. May the President be a man of God! May the government make its decisions based on Bible principles! May the Parliament and the Chamber of Deputies be led daily by truth and justice! May every office in the country apply Bible principles in their activities and in every Town Hall the Name of God to be exalted! May the Spirit of God lead all Pastors, Priests and Presbyters! Let’s confess our own sins, let’s confess the sins of the nation and ask God for healing. May Romania have a clean mass media and the teaching in schools to be as it should be, to have a growing economy built on Christian morality! Help us o Lord! (Evangelical Churches in Romania) MONTHLY REPORT – RM. VILCEA Thanks be to God. By His grace I was able to work another month for His church and to enlarge His Kingdom. I also thank all of you for your financial support. This month I ministered in Rm. Vilcea, Dangesti, Cernisoara and Madulari and also I supervised the ministry in the county. I ministered more in Rm. Vilcea where two people asked to be baptized in water, so we started a class to prepare them for this event, and in Dandesti, and also my self and another brother we continued to physically work for the church construction in Cernisoara, where I went two times. At Daesti we have a sister who would like us to start a church there, where couple of brothers, sisters and other friends would like to hear the Word of God. At Rm. Vilcea we are continuing to save money to buy a church house, and we ask for your financial help also. First we are still searching for the best location for the church and second we still need more money as prices for the land or houses are going up. We are preying for you. May God multiply His grace to you! (P-Ev. Ghita Ganea) FELDRU – BISTRITA NASAUD In February 2008 the Pralea Favista family lost their house due to a fire. The only things they saved were their clothes. The husband is sick. They still have something to eat and some clothes but they don’t have a place to live and they moved in basement. “Let’s help the saints when they are in need “(Rom.12:13, Prov.3:27) Tel. 01140263374571 (IJB) TICHILESTI- TULCEA “Peace to the brothers,
and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ”. Eph 6:23 I come to you asking for help for the leprosy camp in Tichilesti. We urgently need money to buy sterile bondages. Due to lack of money, after they use them for open wounds, most of the times they wash and reuse them, which is not medically right. I pray that the Lord will open your hearts to help these people in need. I thank you for supporting me, many others in need and many other brothers working on Gospel’s field. With many thanks! Virgil Trandafir CONSTANTA We bless you in the Name of the Lord from the Regional Pentecostal District of Constanta. We wish you joy and many victories in your walk in Christ, to be healthy and to bear fruits as it is pleasing to our Savior. We thank you for sponsoring our ministers in the Dobrogea area. God bless you all. (Secretary CRPC: Catalina Ene). LUMINA In this last month of 2008 I was able to see how the Lord worked this year in my life and in the life of the church. For me it was the most difficult year of my entire ministry and also the most blessed one. My desire this year was to present Jesus Christ to as many people as possible in this town. God gave me one
more opportunity when caroling from house to house, we spread the Gospel during Christmas time. God opened many hearts and I saw many people with tears in their eyes when we preached Christ to them. I was very impressed for their response to the Gospel, and I asked myself: Why people listen more to the Gospel during this time of the year? I realized that during the whole year these people saw and heard only traditions, customs and practices which are obstacles in the way of their faith and keep them far away from God and His Word. My desire for 2009 is to pray more with the church for people in our town that God will remove every obstacle from their heart and they will come to the Lord by having a real encounter with Jesus Christ, to receive His Salvation, which is the free gift of God. May God also surround you with His Goodness and pour His Reaches over you and your families!. (Psalm 65:11). We are bound in Christ: Ionel Druga
