NEWSLETTER No. 3 Editorial … Welcome all to our third newsletter from the Scoping Project Team. The team has continued their travels visiting Melbourne, Castlemaine, Launceston and Hobart. Many thanks to David and his cohorts at The Maine Connection for a wonderful pumpkin soup lunch in Castlemaine and to Isabel and the gang at VMIAC for their hospitality and smorgasbord. It must be said that every good trip has some lighter moments and we thought you might like hear some our tales of life on the road …
Who is the team member who crosses her fingers when attempting to send an e-mail because “everyone knows that crossing your fingers helps send an email” – which goes to show that earning a PhD doesn’t make you technologically savvy. It is not a good idea for airlines to offer egg sandwiches to passengers at pressurised high altitude.
It is green everywhere we’ve travelled except where project team members live!
The best sponge cake with strawberries and cream is made by the CWA ladies in Murray Bridge, SA (taste test verified!). Any and all speeding tickets and other fines are to be shared equally with all team members. If we haven’t already met you then we look forward to meeting you soon, and for those we’ve already met we look forward to meeting you again!
