AppTrigger’s Ignite™ Service Broker Extends Industry Leading “Any to Any” Functionality Additional Features Strengthen Service Providers Ability to Transition to NGN / IMS Networks without Disrupting Revenue Producing Voice Services RICHARDSON, Texas – November 9, 2009 – AppTrigger, Inc., the leading provider of Service Broker solutions for telecommunications operators, today introduced support for 5 additional inter-working (IMSSF) solutions within its Ignite™ Service Broker to help Service Providers extend revenue producing voice services across next generation IP infrastructure. The enhancement brings the total of pre-defined application inter-working solutions to 17 and significantly improves the Service Provider ability to leverage revenue generating circuit based voice services across converging network domains without the expense of traditional proprietary solutions. AppTrigger’s Ignite Service Broker continues to build on its industry leading “Any to Any” interworking technology by providing a consistent service layer connectivity platform for existing services and future application connectivity. In addition, the innovative Ignite™ Universal XML Toolkit allows operators to easily configure network connectivity for services. According to polling results from a recent Light Reading webinar on Service Brokers, 66 percent of respondents expressed the desire for a solution that provides a consistent service layer connectivity platform for existing and future application connectivity. Service Brokers Gaining Momentum As operators look for the ability to efficiently connect new and legacy services to any network, demand for Service Brokers continue to gain tremendous traction. The increasing frequency of new RFI/RFPs requiring Service Broker functionality along with positive AppTrigger customer feedback resulting from their recently launched Ignite Your Network (IYN) program provide two strong indications of the growing trend. Through AppTrigger’s IYN program customers around the world are embracing the ability to run the Ignite Service Broker within their network and leverage its ability to provide a consistent service layer for application to network connectivity. Current IYN trials within major carriers are utilizing Ignite’s “Any to Any” capabilities to extend, transition and combine services such as 800 Services/Freephone, VPN and Blacklist functions to their new and existing networks.

Supporting Quotes “Service Providers have continued to look for new and innovative ways to solve the challenge of how to evolve their fixed and wireless networks to a more cost effective all IP infrastructure,” said Patrick Fitzgerald, Sr. VP of Global Sales and Marketing at AppTrigger. “AppTrigger’s Ignite Service Broker enables carriers to maximize existing revenue generating voices services while continuing to build-out NGN / IMS networks and eliminating the need to re-purchase services to fit specific network requirements”

About Service Brokers Service Brokers, a network element that resides between the service layer and the converging network, are traditionally decoupled from the core switch and the service execution or service creation environment. Service Brokers efficiently manage service interaction and network orchestration with key features such as IM-SSF, SCIM, IN to IN Trigger Management, Protocol/Call Flow Management and Subscriber Data Management Interaction. AppTrigger’s Ignite Service Broker enables carriers to preserve their investments in legacy applications by running them on next-generation networks, including LTE.
