I saw a billboard with a picture of a new born baby and the caption read, “kill her today it’s murder; kill her yesterday it’s abortion”. Since Row v Wade, over 52,000,000 babies have been aborted in America; over 18,000,000 were African American. What can be done to address this pandemic? One method is a Christ centered Pregnancy Center. Pregnancy Centers were established to give counseling to women and girls with unwanted pregnancies, alternatives other than abortion. Their objective was to save a life. Gateway Pregnancy Center was organized in 1985 for that purpose. For 25 years Gateway has been on the front line of abortion intervention. Through their efforts many lives have been spared, and many have received eternal life. In the city of Newark the ratio of abortions to births are three to one. There is no pregnancy center in this city. You are cordially invited to a free Pastors’ Breakfast, to be held on Saturday, May 16. 2009 at 8:00AM at Smith Memorial Church of God in Christ, 16 Stratford Place, Newark, NJ to discuss this issue. The speaker will be Rev. Dean Gavaris, Executive Director of the Gateway Pregnancy Centers. Rev. Gavaris has been active in the fight against abortion for over twenty-five years. Your presence, input, and support at this event are needed and will be greatly appreciated. Let us continue to make a difference in this city of Newark, NJ. In His Service,

Javon Allen Pastor Javon P. Allen Chairman Steering Committee
