About the speakers:

Stephen E. Meltzer, Esq. concentrates his practice in two general areas, business law and real estate development law. Mr. Meltzer is certified as an information privacy professional by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). For his business clients, he assists in the full life-cycle of non-profit, traditional and high-technology ventures including privacy regulation and compliance, choice of entity and formation decisions, tax-exempt status, partnership, capitalization and financing, contracting, licensing and intellectual property matters, and the resolution of business disputes and other challenges. For his real estate development clients he focuses on real estate development, affordable housing, permitting, land use and zoning matters, as well as the corporate, partnership and other business issues inherent in the business of development. Mr. Meltzer is the founder and executive director of the Land Conservation and Advocacy Trust, Inc., a start-up non-profit organization with a mission to conserve and preserve open spaces and natural resources by providing immediate response and emergency funding and legal assistance for advocacy and acquisition. In addition, Mr. Meltzer is an Adjunct Professor of Law at the New England School of Law where he has taught Legal Research and Writing, and Internet Law and Practice. Mr. Meltzer is a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals in Framingham and the Board of the Michael Lisnow Respite Center in Hopkinton. He has also served as President of the Board of the Dismas House of Massachusetts, as a Mock Trial Coach in the Worcester Middle Schools and as a Human Rights Committee Member for Charles River Health Management. Mr. Meltzer is a graduate of Brandeis University and New England School of Law (magna cum laude). He was the lead articles editor of the New England Law Review.

Michelle Drolet is the CEO and co-founder of Towerwall (formerly CONQWEST), an information security company. As one of Towerwall’s Internet security experts, Ms. Drolet assists organizations through the security process in order to help protect critical data by the evaluation, establishment, education and enforcement of sound security practices. Towerwall specializes in providing the expertise and technologies necessary to secure an organization's intellectual property and ensure the Internet positively affects productivity and customer relations. She is well respected in the analyst and trade community, and is often quoted in national magazines. She was recently featured in the Boston Business Journal. Ms. Drolet participates in many community service projects. She chairs the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chairs the Workforce Preparedness Taskforce, participates in School to Career program, intern and externship programs, Women’s Independent Network, Voices Against Violence, MDA, Commonwealth Institute CEO Forum, Young Women and Minorities in Science and Technology, Framingham ESL fundraiser and others. For these services, Ms. Drolet has received citations from Senators Spilka and Magnani. Towerwall and Ms. Drolet has also received the Cyber Citizenship award for community support and participation. Mr. Drolet is a graduate of Northeastern University (cum laude).

About the Lawyers Clearinghouse:
