This camp provides exclusive training in becoming the ultimate scorer. Pure shooters are made, not born. Shooting is a learned behavior. Athletes gain an understanding of NBC Camps’ premier shooting system based on logical and scientific principles. This camp combines the pure shooting curriculum with offensive attack moves training. Scoring and creating offensive plays are critical to becoming a great player.

ELITE Elite camps are for athletes who are among the top in their cities who are hoping to prepare to play at the college level. The Girls Elite camp is for High School athletes only and training at both boys and girls elite will be at a highly advanced level.

Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute (M.B.C.I.) is a combined Middle School/High School located five minutes from downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba. Located on the M.B.C.I. campus are two full-size gymnasiums, a modern performance facility, and a beautiful park space, all which will be used during the day camp.

The King’s University College is located in Edmonton, Alberta, just minutes east of downtown on 50 Street. Its 21,000 square metre modern campus is home to over 600 students during the year and features a main building which houses the gymnasium, dorm rooms, cafeteria and meeting rooms, all under one roof. Each dorm room has its own bathroom and shower.

Situated on a beautiful 17 acre campus, Rosthern Junior College facilities accommodate numerous activities. Outdoor basketball, beach volleyball, tennis courts, a soccer field, ball diamond, football field, and an indoor arena host a variety of athletic activities. All of these facilities surround the student residence which also houses the cafeteria and student centre and a quiet sitting area. The lower level of the residence has a theatre which was built for guest speakers, dinner theatres, drama classes, performances, special lectures, and student movie nights.

NBC Camps is very excited to announce a second week of NBC Basketball Camp in the UK this year at Malvern St. James School in the Midlands. The town of Great Malvern is a beautiful 19thcentury spa town on the side of the Malvern Hills, a perfect location to hold camp. This will be the first year that our American Basketball coaching and philosophy is offered on the UK mainland. Located in the heart of rural England, Malvern St James School is a beautiful setting for camp. Campers will be staying in a nice, secure residential dormitory. Each room accommodates between two and ten campers, with nearby bathroom facilities.

The dream became a reality when 108 boys came to the first ever Northwest Basketball Camp in a tiny, rural area near Cusick, Washington. I had three goals: 1) To create a place where athletes walk away having experienced the best sports and life training possible; 2) To recruit and train staff committed to investing in the dreams and futures of the athletes, and 3) To establish an atmosphere where dreams become reality through encouragement, enthusiasm and high standards. I believe basketball is a waste of time if it does not make a player a better person. NBC Camps was founded on the principle that you win from the inside out. Today sports psychology research is scientifically proving the philosophy that basketball does not build character but only reveals character. In fact, if a basketball program, from the Division I level to the youngest team, does not have a well-defined curriculum that teaches valuable character traits such as integrity, teamwork, unselfishness, kindness, servant leadership, honesty, and discipline, then the opposite qualities will be fostered. One of the reasons NBC Camps has become one of the most successful basketball camps in the world is because it is a place parents can confidently send their athletes knowing if they choose, they will walk out of camp a better athlete and better person. They will be influenced to achieve their dreams, to live and play with courage and mental toughness, to stand for what is right not what is easiest. As a player looking for the most value in a camp experience, I encourage you to select a camp that is going to teach you to win in your mind and heart first and foremost. You and your parents are spending valuable money to help you become a better player and a better person. Parents, I encourage you to become advocates for your children’s dreams. Be intentional about the training and the type of environment they participate in. Too often parents think only of the price of camp and neglect looking at the length of days, the type of training, free time ratio, and the curriculum and philosophy of the camp. My promise is to work harder than ever before to create the best camp experience in the world, a camp where you improve your skills and elevate your game, a place you will be encouraged to develop confidence and courage. At NBC Camps we work hard everyday because every great basketball program is built on hard work and intense play. It mystifies me why anyone would settle for any camp that lacks the purposeful discipline to provide the best experience. The skill saturation of the camp experience is a crucial part of sports development. Summer is your time to launch your potential. Nearly four decades ago, 108 boys took a chance coming to the first NBC Camp. This summer aspiring people, just like you, will be at one of our 38 camps located throughout the world. CAMP REGISTRATION Application NBC Camps 2009

Camp Registration Information $135 partial payment or full payment is required plus a $15 registration fee. A $15 non-refundable registration fee will be charged to each camper who registers for camp. This is a yearly, one-time charge per camper regardless of the number of sessions that camper attends. This fee ensures if you cancel for any reason before camp begins, you will receive all your camp fees back (excluding the $15 registration fee) in the form of a credit which is transferable to family and friends and good through the following summer.

Cancellations If you have to cancel, for any reason, we will issue you a camp credit for all camp tuition paid, valid through the following camp summer. Your camp credit is transferable to any family member or friend and may be used for any NBC Camp or US Sports Camp. Cash refunds will be given only with the purchase of Refund Protection (see to the right).

NBC Camps offers our camp families Refund Protection for $25 per session, due at the time of registration. Refund Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp tuition (deposit or full payment) if you cancel for any reason before May 15th of the camp year. Please note: $25 Refund Protection and $15 Registration Fee are non-refundable. With Refund Protection, if you cancel after May 15th of the camp year, we will issue you a camp credit for all camp tuition fees paid, valid through the following summer.
