REFLECTION: We learned the different kinds of notes and rests and their corresponding time signatures. We also learned about the Pitch and Volume and the C Major scale. We learned about the different musical instruments and familiarized ourselves of how they are use and how do they look. We are now aware that there are different types of singing voice and the importance of knowing the quality of voice you have. It is not enough that you know how to sing, it is how you use your voice properly. It is important that you know what singing voice you have in order for you to choose the right song to sing. In our interview with Teacher Annie, we learned that in any work that you will do you should always give your heart in it. You should love what you are doing to achieve what you want. It made us realize that music really plays an important role in our life. We can express ourselves through music. We think that this is an artistic way of expressing our emotions. Your mood will show in the kind of music that you play. Lastly, we learned that PATIENCE and DISCIPLINE play a vital role if you want to be a successful musician someday. We realized that the musician’s satisfaction and fulfillment in life, is when they see their students learning and acquiring the skills that they imparted to them.
