A tragic love story. An epic ballet. A great night in the theatre.
From Day One, A Bad Days Goodnight and The Beat Puppets, as well as Queensland act Ellington. Auditions were held last month to source local talent and other bands were found through social networking site Myspace. ‘‘We’re giving young people an opportunity to get out there and we’re promoting Parramatta as a creative city,’’ Shobna says. Stalls, rides and a selection of multicultural food also feature. ‘‘We’re trying to change the perceptions of the elder generation about us,’’ she says. ‘‘We’re trying to get the youth off the street, celebrate the youth in the Parramatta area and show Parramatta what we can do.’’
