SECTION V – REACTIVITY DATA Stability: Stable under normal conditions Conditions to Avoid: Avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents and open flames Hazardous Polymerization: Will not polymerize Hazardous Decomposition Products: Oxides of carbon, corrosive amines and other unidentified organic compounds SECTION VI – HEALTH HAZARD DATA HEALTH HAZARDS: This product is a typical surface-active agent. It has the potential to cause irritation if more than transient contact occurs EFFECT OF OVEREXPOSURE: EYES – Short-term contact will cause irritation. Prolonged contact may cause irreversible damage to eye. SKIN – Prolonged contact will cause irritation or burn. INHALATION – Airborne concentrations of dust, mist or spray may cause irritation or damage to the upper respiratory tract or lung tissue. Depending on the severity of exposure, chemical pneumonia. IGESTION – This product is not acutely toxic. FIRST AID: EYE CONTACT – Immediately flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Consult physician. SKIN CONTACT – Immediately flush with copious amounts of soap and water for at least 5 minutes. If irritation persists, contact physician. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse. INGESTION – Contact physician or poison control center immediately. INHALATION – Remove to fresh air. If necessary, give oxygen, artificial respiration. Contact physician. Medical conditions aggravated by exposure: Pre-existing skin irritation may be aggravated. Carcinogenicity: Not listed as carcinogenic by IARC, NTP, OSHA, ACGIH SECTION VII – SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION Respiratory Protection: Not required under normal use. Use NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator where mists, sprays or dust may be generated. Ventilation: Use adequate local exhaust ventilation where mist, sprays or dust may be generated. Eye Protection: Chemical goggles. Protective Gloves: Impervious type. Other Protection: Wear protective clothing to prevent skin contact. Wash thoroughly after handling. SECTION VIII – SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS Precautions to be taken in handling and storing: Keep container closed when not in use. Avoid excessive heat and contact with eyes and skin. Other precautions: Spilled material is quite slippery on all surfaces. Steps to be taken in case material is spilled or released: Dike large spills and scavenge material. Small spills should be scooped up and transferred to salvage drums.
