MORAL DILEMMA If this would happen in my classroom, I would first clarify why Kevin is getting those special treatments, and what circumstances he is in. Yet, while explaining this, I would have to be careful to explain it properly and in the right words, because my other students might easily discriminate Kevin because of his learning disabilities. I think it is the right decision to give Kevin these advantages to guarantee his success in school equally to the other students. He has troubles learning - would no special modifications on his assignments would have been made, he would be disregarded. In addition, I need to make sure that I know Kevin's abilities, as well as disabilities, to not make wrong judgments or disregard him. Fair in the educational context for individuals with special learning needs means, I will provide the necessary modification for my student with learning disabilities, so that he will have an equal chance to his co-students to process and recall the learned information.
