Moama Anglican Grammar School is new to the computer and has many students attending. It is currently a grade 5 to HSE but has future plans. The current principal is Mr. Andrew Pullar and the deputy principal is Mr. Ron Couchman. In the first years of Moama Grammar it had few students and was working in a hall. It is now out of the hall and is on a 4 hectare property with many portable

Years 7-10 at Moama Anglican Grammar School have exams at the end of Semester 1 and at the end of Semester 2. Exams are a chance to show the teachers just how much you have learnt throughout the semester. Year 7 and 8 don’t have any extension subjects so they do 9 exams that consist of, English, Maths, HSIE, Science, Music, PDHPE, Art, Italian and Technology. Years 9 and 10 have extension subjects so sometimes their days were packed with exams while

Other days they had no exams so in that case they could stay home that day if their parents let them of course. You exam results contribute to a percentage of each semesters mark. On which subjects your sitting the exam depends on the time you have to complete you exam. They go from 30 minutes up to 2 hours.

SUBJECTS

At Moama Anglican Grammar School you do extension studies once you get into year 9. Depending on what year you’re in of how much subjects you get to choose; Year 9- 2 Subjects Year 10- 3 Subjects Year 11- All subjects In year 9 and 10 you are in a combined class of both year levels and it good to meet people you’re not normally with. You are not allowed to do the same subjects in which you did in year 9 but it’s for your own benefit because it gives you more choices to decide what you would most prefer to make a career in when you’re older.

There are many extension studies which you can choose from. It depends on how early you put in your sheet to what subjects you get. Moama Grammar offers many opportunities depending on which subject you choose. The subjects Moama Grammar offers are; -Music -Foods -Biology - IT -Ceramics -Robotics -Italian -Forensic Science -Visual Art -Business studies -Drama -Graphics In the years to come with all new buildings develop there will be many more choices and one of those is photography. If you either choose Visual Art or Italian you have a one off chance to go to Italy as part of your study.

Music at Moama Grammar

Italian Festa

Moama Grammar offers many musical opportunities with a school band but hoping to get more people involved and more bands. The school band is being directed and organised by Mrs. Fruewirth and …… Together they help each student in the band to develop playing the instrument they play and the members of the band would help pick the song they wish to perform for which ever occasion they will be performing at. Every student in the band has many enjoyable times and has fun working with others to get it right.

Every second year Moama Anglican Grammar School holds an Italian Festa, ‘Festa Italiana’. They organise the day with Italian food and drinks with many fun activities such as, Ferrari races and botche. They have many musical performances including singing, dancing, students and guest playing instruments. They sell gelatos, Italian drinks, pizza and many more. They also have many fun activities like face painting, mask making and dancing. Everybody that goes and have a look will end up getting involved on some type of activity or buying something. Next time the Italian Festa is on why not come and have a look. HAVE SOME FUN AT MOAMA GRAMMAR’S ITALIAN FESTA!

Each year Moama Grammar hold a Spring Time Concert. At the concert all the instrumental players get show off their skills on the instrument they play and just how much talent they have. If students are chosen by Mrs. Fruewirth and if they wish to they have the opportunity to play at assembly at which they have the whole school listening while they play there heart out and are focusing to get it right. After they have finished their wonderful performance they have the joy of everybody clapping at which the student had just played.

Every year students of the same year level go on a school camp. Each camp there are many challenges and you might even face one of your fears. It depends on what year you’re in to how long you go on camps. Nearly every student enjoys the camp they go on and come back with many stories to tell their friends and families, even the teachers have some funny and interesting stories to tell about their camp.
