RideAbility Mission Statement: To provide family-focused equine assisted activities for persons with disabilities, their siblings, and their peers (in a non-discriminating program: enhancing physical, emotional, spiritual and mental health for the participants through the service of horses). RideAbility’s Vision: To provide the best possible recreational, educational and therapeutic year-round equine activity program for persons with special needs and their families, by embracing these opportunities (now and in the future): Goals: - To provide support, networking and therapeutic recreation for families affected by disabilities. - An independent facility, with a heated barn, therapy rooms, training areas and an office ! - Multiple site offerings - Working with other programs to create the best community offerings - Growth and improvements in class offerings: - Registered Group lessons - Private/Semi-private lessons - One-time-fun-time lessons - Fun and Creative ways to challenge and grow our students: - Ground program (including showmanship, horse science, spirit painting, grooming and more ) - Sensory trail - Interactive Vaulting and other creative lesson ideas - Rainbow Curriculum to record progress and plan goals - Driving program to serve more clients - Mental health benefits for all participants (“the inside of a horse is good for the outside of a man”)
