Family Worship Center and Family Life Center The Ministry’s History • Established with support from the Southern District of the C&MA in April 1996. Stephen Manyama appointed as Executive Director • Initial location: 8400 First Avenue North, Birmingham, AL 35206 • Moved to present location on October 31, 1997 • Incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1996 • Tax Exempt nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(3) of IRS Code in 1997 • Operates under the governance of a Volunteer Board of Directors & the leadership of the Executive Director Family Worship Center • Family Worship Center was organized and incorporated in 1997 and received tax exempt nonprofit charitable organization status under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code on September 13, 2004. Stephen Manyama was the founding Pastor. Family Worship Center Vision We strive to be a growing, loving, Christ-centered, Bible believing, Spirit guided and community based congregation committed to glorifying God; assertive in influencing people to know Christ redemptively; deliberate in helping fellow believers grow in grace; diligent in equipping and empowering believers for effective Christian living and service within their sphere of influence and beyond. Family Worship Center Mission • To glorify God in our worship and lifestyle • To preach a holistic and life transforming gospel • To reach every un-believer and un-churched individual and family in our community for Christ, incorporating them in our church without discrimination • To plant holistic Great Commission churches in our city and beyond • To support and advance home and foreign missions • To be involved in community development efforts • To equip and empower believers for effective Christian living and service in the local community and beyond

Call for details. • Counseling services: By appointment only. • Some program activities are offered periodically. Call for dates Family Life Center Special Information: • Classes and programs are taught and operated by volunteer staff. • Literacy & ESOL programs are offered in partnership with the Literacy Council of Central Alabama and M-Power Ministries • Financial Literacy Seminars are taught by a certified FDIC/Wachovia Money Matters Trainer • Summer School programs are offered in partnership with YouthWorks • Family Life Center is a DHR service provider
