Message I congratulate you, graduates, on this milestone brought by your hard work and perseverance. All the taxing days of classes, homework’s, tests and projects have added up to this. It has always been the Municipality of Talavera’s goal to ensure that every learner will be improved in the community by providing them quality education. But remember that you also play a big role in your own empowerment. This year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity: Quality Education for All (Pagkakaisa sa Pagkakaiba-iba: Kalidad na Edukasyon para sa Lahat)”, highlights the role of the K to 12 Basic Education Program in developing an educated society where the challenges and benefits of diversity are embraced and welcomed by every Filipino. We hope that this is what you have done, and what you will continue to do. The Municipality of Talavera realizes its aspirations in bringing an education that is accessible and ideal for all. It is our hope that by providing the youth with opportunity, that you reap the fruits of your own endeavor and bring in the progressive future this country deserves. We hope that you continue to uphold the core values that have been shared with you thus far in your education. Every individual learner’s success benefits our society as a whole. So, as you continue to recognize your full potential, reflect on how you will make remarkable and meaningful contributions for the betterment of our municipality, the country, and the world. There will come a time when you have to decide who you really want to be, and this can be difficult. But in everything, always choose what is good. Do this not just for yourself, but also in order to be a blessing to the people around you. Keep in mind that who we become is determined by every little decision we make. Let me leave you with the words of a famed journalist by the name of Mary Schmich, “Sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind. The race is long and, in the end, it’s only with yourself.” Congratulations, and may more blessings come!
