ÑÍãÉ ¡ ÑÃÝÜÉ Mercy, Merciful, Pity la miséricorde, miséricordieux, la pitié

Mercy is a freely-given compassionate response. The concept is carried in Greek by eleeô and related words 56 times and by oiktirmos and related words eight times (Greek eleeô [1456], eleos [1459], eleêmôn [1458]; oiktirmos [2994], oiktirmôn [2995], oiktirô [2993]). 1. God's mercy to those who deserve to be adversely judged and punished as sinners by him, i.e. he does not judge or punish them as they deserve.
