Aion Levelling Guide The Asmodian Path

Introduction This is a free guide and is not for sale, rent, or other forms of for-profit distribution. This guide is designed to show you what, in my opinion, is the fastest way to level a new character from levels 1 to level 65. While faster methods may be available for alts (for instance, grind NTC solo with a merek 200% amulet), these methods are fast enough for any player to reach level 65 in a matter of a few days. While it is entirely possible to get to 65 free, using an innocent merek pet egg ($5 on the black cloud marketplace) will make the process much faster and easier. Only use its XP buffs in instances. This is a levelling guide. It is not a guide to teach you how to play your class. This guide was written in June 2015, after Aion 4.8 launched. It intentionally avoids the Abyss as this will be changing in 4.9. The further you are from the publication date, however, the more likely this guide will be inaccurate. I do not have plans to further update this guide As an Elyos by heart, I highly suggest that you join the master race instead of using this guide. But hey, it’s your funeral.

Phase I – Quests Levels 1-10 – Ishgalen Level 1 When you spawn in the world, the best way to level is to grind. Kill 5 Sparkies around you to reach level 2.

Level 2 Continue north and kill level 2 sparkles to get to level 3.

Level 3 At level 3 you’ll learn new skills. Hit “k” to open up your skill log and then drag your new skills from there to the quickbar. Then follow the road as it loops around to get to a village. Speak with Nowian in a building to pick up “Swallowing Pride”. To pick up a quest, right click on the mob and hit “accept” on the quest.

Click on the man with a downwards arrow (two icons right of C+=), and select standard server.

Speak with Rian to turn it in and pick up “Brotherly love”. Then return to fast track to turn it in.

To the south you’ll find Bacorerk. Speak with him and select to expand your cube.

Speak with Dalor to buy a level 5 set of armor for your class (Below level 10, Warriors use chain, Mages/Muses use cloth, and all others use leather). Then buy a weapon from Hephne. Head west out of town to kill web slinks to reach level 4.

Level 4 Head into the lake and kill level 4 Airons to reach level 5.

Level 5 Head south into the Forest. Kill Whitefoot Darus until you hit level 6, following the path.

Level 6 When the path bends north, kill Half-Moon Darus to reach level 7.

Level 7 Follow the path to a camp. Here we’ll find Edandos. Edandos has pink quests that give free consumables and gear for talking with her. She gets new ones every 5 levels. Speak with her to get some nice scrolls.

Follow the path west along a river with Slyphens in it. It’ll take you to a cove of Sylphens. Kill Sylphens to get to level 8. They will respawn before you’re done with them.

Level 8 Continue killing Sylphens to reach level 9.

Level 9 Return to camp and follow the road north. You’ll come to Munin who is trapped in a crystal.

Speak with him to update “Ascension” and you’ll be teleported to Urd. Speak with her to update your quest.

You’ll teleport to Verdandi. Speak with her to update the quest again.

You’ll be teleported to Skuld. Speak with her to update the quest and be teleported back to Munin.

Speak with Munin to teleport to a closed space. Speak with Hagen to update the quest and fly around.

After landing, kill 4 Guardian Assassins.

Then Hellion will appear. Kill him to get to a cutscene. Speak with Munin to select your class (note that this is irreversible – choose wisely).

You’ll teleport out, completing Ascension and picking up “A Ceremony in Pandemonium”. Speak with Munin and say there is nothing left for you here to teleport. When you get to Panda, speak with Heimdall to update your quest. After a cutscene, head just a tiny bit north and take the ramp heading east and down.

You’ll get into a temple. Speak with Balder to update your quest.

Then speak to your class preceptor (yours will depend on your class) to turn in the quest and reach level 10. How the heck does one pronounce Lyfjaberga anyways?

Level 10 Speak with your preceptor to pick up “Dispatch to Altgard”.

Head up the ramp to talk to Ninis and pick up “Mane’s Best Friend”.

Head north to get to Edandos to get some more free consumables.

Continue north to talk to Silke to turn in “Mane’s Best Friend” and pick up “Pet Preceptions”.

Speak with Katin to turn it in and pick up “A Passion for Pets”. Then speak to Erdil to turn it in.

Head south to the hall of gold. Speak with the shugo in the center to expand your cube 1 more time.

Head south and speak with Doman to update “Dispatch to Altgard”. Then teleport via him to get to Altgard. If you don’t have enough gold, just use the scroll you got from your pink quest.

When you land, head into the building on top of the hill to speak with Meiyer. Turn in “Dispatch to Altgard” and speak with Suthran to turn in “Suthran’s Orders” to reach level 11.

Levels 11-23 – Altgard Level 11 Head out of the west side of the city to speak with Emgata to pick up “Coversing with a Skurv”.

Speak with Itu to update the quest. Return into the fortress and talk to Suthran. Then return to Itu to turn in the quest. Pick up “Mau in Ten Minutes a Day”. Open up your inventory, and in you special cube you should find a mau language potion.

Then Head to the north of the city, and you’ll get to a tunnel leading underground.

Speak to Mumu Bon at the bottom.

Return to Itu to turn in the quest.

Head to the east side of the city to update “Funny Floating Fungies”. Then fly up to find Borender. To fly, press “Page Up”. Look the direction you want to fly, and press your forwards key. You also can fly by holding down both mouse buttons. You will rise straight if you press “R”.

Kill 5 fungi around the rock (they look like snowflakes).

Return to Valurian to turn in “Funny Floating Fungus” and reach level 12.

Level 12 Speak with Edandos to receive more free goodies. Pick up “Control Altgard, Delete Revolutions” from Meiyer. Head out the west exit of the city and pick up “Retrieving the Report” from Rion (he walks back and forth). To the north of the fortress, kill 4 Lepharists.

Return to the fortress to turn in the quest to Meiyer.

Follow the road west through a cave to get to Loriniah’s camp.

Turn in “Retrieving the Report” to Loriniah and update “An Ominous Crop”. From Tigg, pick up “Picking off Frightcorn”. Head west into Mumu Farmland and kill 5 Mumu Patrols.

Continue west until “An Ominous Crop” updates. Then look around for a farm cart (type “/where Mumu Cart” to find the nearest one).

Right click it to burn it, wait for it to respawn, and then burn it again until you are at 3/3. Then kill 5 Mumu Farmers to loot their waist bands, and 3 Mumu Patrols to loot their Hairpins. To loot, right click on the dead mob and then select the items you want.

Return to Loriniah to turn in “An Ominous Crop” and Tigg to turn in “Picking off Frightcorn” and reach level 13.

Level 13 Speak with Olenja to pick up “Gleaning the Meaning”. Then head west through the farmland to reach Gefion.

Turn in “Gleaning the Meaning” and pick up “A Cure for Crazy” and “Lamir’s New Clothes” from Lamir. Head west to Gornack to turn in “A Cure for Crazy” and pick up “A Crazy Request”.

Head down into the lake and kill 3 lake spirits and loot them. Ignore the giant box in the middle, it has about a million HP.

Go back to the road and kill/loot 6 mosbears.

Return to Gornak to in “A Crazy Request” and pick up “Report to Garuntat”. Return to town to turn in “Report to Garuntat” and “Lamir’s New Clothes” to reach level 14.

Level 14 Head into the building and speak with Nokir to update “Poison in the Water” and pick up “No LaissezFire for Lepharists”. Head to the west side of the city to find Shania to update “Poison in the Waters” (she walks around).

Follow the road to the west to get to Brodir.

Update “No Laissez-Faire for Lepharists” and pick up “A Grave Situation” and “Take Back, Sword”. Head north along the road to get into a cave. Kill every lepharist in your way, looting 9 Fencers. Be careful though. At low health, they run away from you, and aggro anything they run past.

When you’re in the cave, head up the ramp. There is the comrade.

Burst down the comrade and then run. You cannot kill all 3 at once.

Return to Brodir and turn in your quests to reach level 15.

Level 15 Pick up “A Matter of Pride” and “Adieu to You, Manumumu” from him, and then “Little Help from a Daeva”, “Rarified Tastes”, “A Fertile Field”, and “Making a New Start” from Anmurnerk. Head west into Mumu village and kill Mumu Lookouts as you head inside looting them for belts. You need to kill 9 overall.

Near the tents are grain sacks. Gather 3 of them.

In the center island, kill the Mumu Chieftain.

Across from him is Mumu Ring to kill and loot her ring.

Follow the south road to kill Mumu Zoo.

Continue to follow the road into the sparkly water. Use the poison in your special cube. Then run so the mobs that spawn don’t kill you.

Head eastwards, and start killing herb gatherers. You need to kill 5 overall and loot them.

In addition, kill 5 Mau. As long as it doesn’t say “Feral” or “Brutal”, it’ll count for the quest.

In the northeast corner kill MuMu Zen to loot the final ring.

Return to Anmurnerk to turn in your quests. Then return to town to turn in “Poison in the Waters” and “A Matter of Pride” and reach level 16.

Level 16 Empty your bags at a merchant. Then pick up your free goodies from the pink quest. Fly to Altgard Fortress. Turn it “Adieu to You” Manumumu to Suthran and pick up “Odella, Odella, Where Art Thou” from Morn (by the Obelisk). Fly South to the Heart of Impetesium (talk to the flight master next to the teleporter) and get ready to start Haramel.

Instance #1 – Haramel Speak with Gulkalla to update “Odella, Odella, where art thou”. Fly down and south to find the first discarded odium piece (reminder – page up to fly).

Continue south to find the second.

Head up the ramp to get to a cutscene. Enter into Haramel via the portal.

Inside, speak with Moorilerk to turn in “Odella Odella Where Art Thou” and pick up his 2 quests. Head into the Odium Refinery and kill every mob there. You will hit level 17 doing this.

Level 17 In this room, we’ll find the first boss. This boss is easy, and just has a small heal at 25% health.

Head onto the platforms to the north. Gather 5 fine odium from them.

Continue into the cave to the north. Gather 5 raw odium while killing all mobs there.

Return to the first room and head east. Kill the mobs on your way to Moofrenerk. Turn in your two quests to Moofrenerk to reach level 18.

Level 18 Pick up Moofrenerk’s quests. Then glide down to the bottom of the tower. At the bottom, kill all mobs, looting 3 Mumu Mechanics.

At the back side, kill the Keymaster and loot his key.

Use the tower lift to port up to the second level. Head up the stairs and kill the mobs on both sides of the tower. Then open up the severely rusted box in the back.

Then jump and glide down to the bottom again. Make your way south to the Odella Processing Plant, killing all mobs as you go.

In the plant is the second boss – Mumu Ham the Grey.

Easy boss. He’ll stun you early, and then he’ll play dead increasing defense temporarily. Continue on to the nursery. Kill the mobs, and the gather 5 odella around the nursery.

Head to the skylift and talk to Gestanerk.

Turn in your quests to reach level 19.

Level 19 Pick up “Hammertime”. Take the elevator behind Gestanerk and then continue down the path. Inside, there are a million mobs staring at you.

These mobs do 1 damage and die in 1 shot, so just hit them until they die. Then move on to the boss behind them. Easy boss, no special skills. On either side of the room, there are prison cells.

Break the cells open and kill the mobs inside. Then, attack Hamerun.

Hamerun isn’t hard, but summons adds about halfway through. Kill the adds, or he’ll be immune to damage. He will drop a box behind him with loot in it. After looting, use the portal he would have been facing if he was alive.

Outside of the instance, talk to Shenzen at the bottom of the stairs to turn in your quests and pick up “Destroy the Haramel Facilities”, “Overseers under attack”, and “Follow the Leaders and kill them”. Wait 10 minutes real time for the instance to reset, and then enter in again. Speak with Moorilerk and pick up “The Soup? Nutsy!”

Repeat the instance very much like you did last time. In the first room, don’t both gathering the odium. However, there are aether carts to destroy (2 in the room, 1 to the north).

Kill the boss and loot her to update the quest. You will hit level 20 doing this.

Level 20 Continue through the same way as before, clearing the north cave and picking up “What is inside the box” from the shugo. Follow the same procedure in the tower. Head to the processing plant and kill all mobs. Then, in the corner, collect 5 dried ginseng.

In lower quality resolutions, these will look the same as the other ginsengs, so just hover over each one until you get one you can use. After, burn 3 processed odellas by clicking on them.

In the corner, use the huge cauldron.

Continue through as normal (except loot glasses from Mumu Ham) and turn in “What’s in the Box” to Gestanerk to reach level 21.

Level 21 Complete the rest of the instance as last run. Turn in “Follow the Leaders and Attack them” and “Overseers under attack” to Shezen. Pick up “Follow the Leaders and Attack them”. Wait 10 minutes and run Haramel again to reach level 22.

Level 22 Turn in your quests to Shezen. Pick up “Follow the Leaders and Attack them.” Wait 10 minutes and run Haramel again to reach level 23.

Level 23 Turn in your quest to Shezen. Then return to Altgard fortress (fly there or use the map teleport – open your map and click on the feather to get there) to turn in “The Soup? Nutsy!” and “Destroy the Haramel Facilities” (Chagarinerk is in the house on a hill). Head out the east side of the fort. Talk to Dellalong to update “Stomp Out the Plot”.

Continue east to Jolk to update Totem-Plowed and Stomp Out the Plot.

Head east into the Black Claw Outpost. Kill 3 Black Claw Stalkers (make sure they say Brutal).

When you’re in, go up a hill on the right to a giant totem.

Head down the hell and you’ll see a mob in front of a totem. If you’re ranged, attack the totem only and the mob won’t aggro. If you’re melee, kill the mob and then the totem.

Wait for respawns, and kill it 3 times.

Head out of the outpost. Outside of it, in a swamp, kill Shaman Gabacha. She hurts bad, so bring pots.

Loot her cane. Then return to Jolk to turn in “Stomp out the Plot”. Then return to the fortress to turn in “Totem-Plowed”. Update “A strange new threat” to be teleported. Head inside the abyss gate. Kill the balaur making your way up. Be careful to make sure the 2 patrols are away from the main group when you attack so you don’t have all 3 mobs on you.

When all mobs are dead, use the gate stone in the middle.

Kill the mob that spawns, and then right click the gate to make it explode. You will be teleported back to Altgard Fortress. Turn in the quest to Suthran to finish Altgard. Then head to the teleporter and teleport to Pandaemonium. Head north and speak with Heimdall to update “No Escaping Destiny”.

You will be teleported to Munin. Then open your map and teleport to Adelle Village to talk to Urd.

Follow the road south to get to Verdandi.

Continue on the road west to Skuld, who will teleport you.

Talk to Skuld again, and she will give you a stigma stone. Stigma stones are skills you can equip. Just right click on it to equip it, and drag it to your keybinds. Talk to her again, and Helion will appear. Kill him to be teleported.

Then talk to Skuld again. She’ll teleport you to Munin, who’ll teleport you to Aud in Panda where you can turn the quest in.

Aud will give you a stigma bundle which you can open and choose any stigma you want out of it. Look on google for good stigma builds for your class. By turning the quest in, you’ll reach level 24.

Levels 24-35 – Morheim Level 24 Head up the ramp and head to the hall of gold. You should (if you sold all the stuff in your bag), be able to upgrade your cube 2 more times. Then head south to the teleporter and teleport to Morheim. Speak with Aegir to the east to turn in “Aegir’s Orders”.

Head out the fortress to the west and follow the road. It’ll turn south and then east. You’ll get to Medea to pick up “Outfighting Arachnas”.

By the cabin, kill 10 Shade Arachnas.

Return to Medea to turn it in and pick up “Greeting to an Alchemist”. Follow the road east to get to Kistig. You will need to go up a hill and double back to get to him.

Turn in “Greeting to an Alchemist” and pick up “Fulfilled Promise”, “Scouting the Lab”, and “Recovering Research Materials”. Head north. On the right side of the road, kill 7 mud spirits and 3 rock spirits.

There are a bunch of old barrels on this side, so gather one.

Continue north and kill 5 stinging arachnas and loot their poison.

On the right side of the road there is a lean-to. Next to it is the box.

Return to Kistig to turn in “Scouting the Lab” and “Recovering Research Materials”. Then head south to speak with Keindor to turn in “Fulfilled Promise” and reach level 25.

Level 25 Return to Morheim Ice Fortress (use your map teleporter). Speak with Edandos, who has pink quests for free goodies.

Head back to Aegir to pick up “Nochsana Calls”. Then head over to Kelmar to turn in “Nochsana Calls” and pick up “General Malevolence”, “Training Terminated”, and “Weapons Wanted”.

Instance #2 – Norchsana Training Camp Norchsana Training Camp, or NTC, is our first group instance. In our case, we are going to want to run it in a group of 2. The best group is a healer and someone else. The type of healer does not matter (cleric, chanter, or songweaver), so long as the person can raise someone else’s health. To look for a group, the default key is shift + v. Look for “NTC” or “NTC Duo”. If it says just “NTC”, ask the person if they’d be cool duoing it. Otherwise, post an offer. When you have a group, speak to Vallack to head inside. When you get inside, head up the hill to your right, killing all mobs you see. At the top is an artifact with a protector behind it. Clear the mobs and then kill the protector

This guy hurts, so make sure your healer is just healing.

Use the artifact by right clicking on it, and then immediately run west. Kill the mob in your way and you’ll get to the dragon.

After killing the dragon, head inside. Go to your right and up a ramp. Clear the mobs at the top. Here is out second boss, the aetheric field generator.

This guy has a shield. If you have a songweaver with halfstop or a spiritmaster, you can dispel the shield. Otherwise, you need to dps it down. Classes with sleep can sleep the mob, and it won’t attack while you break the shield, but it will take twice as long to break the shield. Now we’re ready for the fortress proper. Head towards the gate. In your special cube, right click the Norchsana siege weapon to summon it.

When the gate is down, 3 mobs will spawn to kill. Then head inside and clear the room, except the boss. In this room, gather 4 boxes. (there are more outside the fortress if needed)

Then head up the ramp on the right hand side. Clear the mobs around the top side of the fortress until you get to the teleporter. This guy spawns adds, so focus them.

When the teleporter is down, jump down and kill the final boss. This guy has no mechanics at all and is an easy kill.

Head towards the entrance of the instance. Try to kill every mob there is in the instance. Head out using the swirly red gate at the start. You should hit level 26 in this first run.

Level 26 Head out of the instance and turn in your quests to Kelmar to reach level 27.

Level 27 Pick up “Training Terminated” again from Kelmar. Run another duo to reach level 28.

Level 28 Turn in your quest to Kelmar. Run a third duo to reach level 29.

Level 29 Turn in your quests to Kelmar. You should be over halfway through the level. In the Ice fortress, speak with Anund to update “A Blazing Rescue”, and Bragi to update “Ghosts in the Desert”. Then talk to the Flight transporter to fly to Desert Garrison (in the west). Speak with Tofa to update “Ghosts in the Desert” and “Sneak Behind the Ice Claw”. Then speak with Aprily to update “Sneak Behind the Ice Claw”. Speak with Jorund to update “Sneak Behind the Ice Claw” and pick up “A Distasteful Duty”. Head south, and you will find the start of the hill.

This hill goes up and up. Try to kill as few mobs as you can going up and loot their weapons. You’ll have 10 easily by the top. Do not try to “train” through the mobs, there are too many. Only “soldiers” and “warriors” drop weapons – archers and mages do not.

At the top, kill the deputy and loot the armor from him.

Then glide down off a cliff and speak with Torynir to update the quest.

Head towards the middle of the two giant black pillars in the desert, and use the powder in your special cube to update the quest.

Then return to the Desert Garrison to turn in “Ghosts in the Desert.” Head north to Kentari Village. There will be a fenced in area. Kill the chieftain.

Then make your way west to get to Salintus Rise. On the southwest corner of this area, kill a stubborn abex on this road. My picture is of one in the southeast, but I did it wrong.

On the west side of the rise you’ll find a small camp. Here, use the dead fire.

Kill the Tayga, and then head south to the next NPC.

We need to equip a title now to progress the quest. Hit “P”, and select “Titles”. Under the top menu, select “Tayga Slayer”, and hit “Change Title”.

Make your way south, all the way to the bottom of the village. On the southeast side, you can make your way up the hill. Avoid “Brutal” mobs as they are group mobs, and mark wrong ways. At the end of the road is the totem.

Use the totem to teleport in, and then kill the Protector.

Return to Desert Garrison using the map teleport, and then turn in “A Distasteful Duty” and update “Sneak Behind the Ice Claw”. Fly to Morheim Ice Fortress to turn in “Sneak Behind the Ice Claw” and reach level 30 and then some.

Level 30 Speak with Aegir to pick up “Secrets of the Fire Temple”. Speak with Edandos for some free goodies – including a free 1 day mount. Then head into the temple and speak with Herner to get another stigma bundle. Choose one and equip it.

Empty your bags, and then fly to Desert Garrison again, and then fly to Slag Bulwark. Head west and fly to Bulagen to update “A Blazing Rescue” and “Secrets of the Temple”. Then head to the big building and go inside the door that says it is the water room.

Head to 11:00 in this room and kill the Wind Key guardian.

Use the door to go outside, and then go to the next room clockwise. This room is a 2-part room. Make your way down to the 2nd room and kill the fire room guardian at 5:00. Use the door behind him.

Head out and fly once more clockwise. Then head to a ledge on the right side of the first room. Jump off it and glide to skip the first two rooms and land in the last room.

At the top of the ramp, kill the fire spirit and use the door..

Update your quest at Bulagen, and then return to the Slag Bulwark to turn in “A Blazing Rescue”.

Head west again to a magma waterfall. Speak to Flamyar to update “Secrets of the Fire Temple” and pick up “An Ancient Weapon” and “Re-sanctifying the Temple”.

Instance #3 – Fire Temple Open LFG and try to find a group for fire temple. Enter by the big door. Fire temple is a bit of a tricky map, so a guide has been provided.

Head through the mobs aggroing as few as you can. When you leave the first big room, we’ll find a mob call Roton.

Roton is east, but it’s near other mobs so you should be careful when pulling it. Head to the north corridor and kill 2 Kagolems of Magic.

Somewhere in the instance you will find a box (there are many all over the place). Right click it to gather an ancient weapon.

When done with the north room, continue directly south into the gold room. Dunlavis is there.

Kill him and loot him for the chalice. He’s tough, so you’ll want your full party there. Make sure they know you’re doing the quest.

Then head into the room on the bottom left. This is Kromede’s throne. Kill her.

All in all, a full run of Fire Temple takes 10-15 minutes. Do not think of grinding mobs in here, it is not close to worth it. When she’s dead, leave group to get ported out, and then turn in your quests to reach level 31.

Level 31 Pick up “Re-sanctifying the Temple” and “Retribution Resolution”. Repeat a run of Fire temple (you don’t have to kill Denlavis unless the group wants to). Turn in your quests to reach level 32.

Level 32 Keep running fire temple to reach level 33 (2 runs estimated).

Level 33 Keep running fire temple to reach level 34 (3 runs estimated).

Level 34 Keep running fire temple to reach level 35 (4 runs estimated).

Level 35 Head east to the non flight zone and follow the road south to get to Alsig Village. Then take a flight to the Morheim Observatory. Head inside the building and up the ramp to talk to Tyr and update “A Nepra Protector”. Head East into a lake and talk to the unicorn in there.

From here, run northwest to get to the entrance of the village.

Head up the stairs to the very top to kill the spiritchaser.

Return to the observatory and turn the quest in. Talk to the flight teleporter and teleport to Chaikata’s Hideout. Speak with Chaikata to update “Crisis in Morheim”. Head west to get to the mist mane village. It is suggested to take a more of a southernly path so as to avoid the silver mane village. When inside the mist mane village, talk with Kikanata.

Head south a little bit and then go onto the bridge. Make your way across and up to get to Numutara. Kill her and loot her key.

Use your map teleport to return to Chikata and update the quest. Then fly to Morheim Observatory followed by a flight to Alsig Village to update the quest at Rikesh. Fly to Morheim Ice Fortress to turn the quest in to Vili. Speak with Aegir to update “A Hand from Each Side” and be teleported. Then talk to Taisan. He will teleport you to the Abyss gate.

Right click on the gate to enter. Speak with Kargate to start the timer. 2 mobs will spawn in 1 minute intervals. Be careful not to die, as it is very hard to get back here without the teleport. Also, be careful with the mobs that spawn with 1:00 to go – the mage will cast a reflect (look at the pink buff under the name).

At 0:15, four mobs will spawn. Make sure you are at the bottom of the hill so they cannot attack you before time runs out. Speak with Kargate to teleport out. Speak with Aegir to turn in the quest and reach level 36. Then head to the teleporter and head to Beluslan, our next zone.

Levels 36-45 – Beluslan Level 36 When you arrive in Beluslan, talk to Edados and get your free goodies for your pink quests. Fly to Deryk and turn in his quest for a little bit of free XP.

Then head to Nerita at 11:00 in the fortress and turn in “Nerita’s Orders” and pick up “Interior Landscaping”.

Talk to Mani outside of the building to update “Investigate the Disappearance”. Make a left and jump down a level to update “Interior Landscaping” at Bestia. Then fly up to Horu to update the quest.

Return to Nerita to turn in the quest. Speak with Paeru (little kid walking around) to update “Investigate the Disappearance”. Then right click the propaganda in your special cube to update the quest.

Return to Mani to update “Investigate the Disappearance”. At this point, hit enter on your chat and do “/where Leanor”. Head to this location.

Straight ahead is a ramp heading down, so follow it to get to Hammel.

Talk to the flight transporter and fly to Kidorun’s Campsite.

From here, head north and then east into the Malek mines. Follow the road south and kill an overseer on the left.

Then follow the road east. At the furthest east part of the road, head south to get to the secret entrance doorway.

You will teleport up. Just walk a small distance in to update the quest. Then use your map teleport to return to Beluslan Fortress and turn the quest in to Mani and reach level 37.

Level 37 Speak with Nerita inside to pick up “Suspicious Errand”. Then talk to Hudrunerk to update it (he’s in a corner below the warehouse manager).

Fly over to Broha to the southwest, and then return to Hudrunerk. Return to Nerita to turn in the quest. Pick up “Nightmares and Dreamscapes” from Nerita. Fly down to Red Man Cavern and the fly up to Camp Kistenien. You will see Bridget surrounded by 3 more NPCs with blue quests. Pick them all up (A Blacksmith’s Dreams, Seeking Slumber, Confirmation in Dreams, and An Honorable Death). Then talk to Bridget to turn in “Nightmares and Dreamscapes”. Pick up “Into the Unknown” from her, and talk to her once more to enter Kromede’s Trial.

Instance #4 – Kromede’s Trial Starting with Kromede’s Trial, we have an option to use the Innocent Merek pet. Innocent Merek is available on the Black Cloud Marketplace for $5. If you wish to use it, you will hatch it at the pet minder in Sanctum, and then feed in 10 “spicy health food”, which you buy from the pet merchant in Panda. Merek will give you a bundle. Do not open up this bundle until you are ready as the resulting item will last only 10 minutes. Feed Merek constantly to create more bundles. When you’re ready to start an instance, open up bundles until you get the one you want. It will either give you a 50% amulet (15% chance), a 100% amulet (70% chance), or a 200% amulet (15% chance). I’d suggest for Kromede’s being happy with 100%. If you are going to run the instance with an XP boost, you should clear all mobs in the instance. If you are not, then just kill the bare minimum to get to each location. A few seconds after entering, you’ll get a cutscene. Follow the path south after to get to a grave robber’s corpse.

Speak with him to get a roton. Roton is a summonable skill so you might want to put it on your quickbar. Use it to attack the Sealed Stone Door as it won’t be broken otherwise.

Continue to follow the path to get to a petrahulk gatekeeper. Kill him and open the door behind him.

Clear the room and then kill Divine Hisen.

Divine Hisen will always start by putting you to sleep, so DoT him at the start if you can. He does an attack called area explosion. Get far away when he does this. Otherwise, he’s simple. Loot the key and use the potion behind him to teleport.

After leaving your cell, go into the first room on the right to kill 8 prisoners and captives. Then kill Warden Baal in the main hallway and loot the “Dungeon Grate Key”.

Open the gate behind him and then head into the southwest room. The Manor Guard Captain is in the back. Kill him and loot his key. He has a skill to put you up in the air and then smash you down, so don’t be at low HP with him at any point.

Use the relic chest behind him to get explosive beads.

Start heading north and kill Guard Bitin.

Speak with Robstin to update the quest. Then head up the stairs. Dungeon Bloodwings will appear. Use the explosive beads to kill them all in one hit.

Then at the top use the door to enter the manor proper.

Inside, kill the 2 manor defenders and loot their fragments.

Continue to the next room. There are some patrolling mobs to kill. In the center is a set of 3 manor guards. Wait for 1 to walk away to kill her, and then kill the other 2. You should be at 5 fragments now. In the middle, you can use the tower for a small buff.

Head downstairs. The guards patrol the edges of the room, so if you don’t have an XP boost on, sneak around the corners. If you want, there is a sleep flower here that’ll put a target to sleep and then deal massive damage. The fountain in the middle also can be used to restore HP. Return to the main hall and head up the west stairway. Kill guards and defenders on top to loot more dream fragments. In the middle is Austin. He’s a mage mob and hurts, so I suggest blowing him up fast.

You can take the potion behind him which is a cure all, but I rarely use it.

Head east to the next room. This room is optional. If you have an XP boost, clear it all. Note that if you use a sleep flower on a mob in the middle, when it wakes up it’ll graphically glitch to be right where you slept it, but still be able to attack you. Head to the next room to the east. Wait for Kiernook and Yulina to be near the entrance to pull them and kill them. Physical classes may have issues as they can bind.

Clear the room and loot any last dream fragments you may need. There is a porgus barbecue that gives a buff, and a fruit basket that recovers most of your health. Then head south into the library. Kill Jeeves in the south corner. He will sleep you and hits hard, so I’d probably pop a consumable if needed.

Use the bookcase he was working on to teleport to the last room. After killing the mobs, run south at Kaliga.

Kaliga is fairly easy in this mode. He’ll pull and hit you, and at low health he’ll summon a bunch of bats (use the explosion beads on them). And he never drops anything the first run. Use the oak doors to exit.

Turn in your quests to reach level 38 (if you’re not already).

Level 38 Pick up the same quests as last time and re-enter Kromede’s Trial after waiting 10 minutes for it to reset. With this, we have a choice. If we choose to go for armor, when you teleport into the dungeon, you can head into a south room and kill an executioner (no special skills).

Then when on top of the stairs, head west to Lady Angerr. She summons bats to kill.

Finally, in the library head to the top and head into the east room to kill Justicetaker Wyr. He can shield himself against physical attacks.

When you enter the final room, there mobs will be there with Kaliga, but very weak (hit for like 10 damage each, and die in 5 hits).

If you decide to go for hard mode (no mini-bosses killed), Kaliga will have slightly different mechanics. He starts with a long stun. If you are a physical class, kill the red relic as that boosts his physical defense. If you are magical, kill the blue relic.

During the battle, he’ll summon a few adds. They don’t hurt badly, but should still be killed for ease. At low health, he’ll summon a blue circle. Get out of it or it’ll hit for major damage. He has a chance to drop a key when he dies. Use a weapon rack on the sides to acquire a weapon of your choice that’s worse than a Kromede weapon. Head out and turn in your quests to reach level 39 (or more)

Level 39 Continue with Kromede’s Trial’s processes, picking up and turning in quests.

Level 40 Run more Kromede’s Trial. At this level, be aware of the “Remove Shock” skill which allows you to escape stuns, knock downs, and aether’s holds.

Level 41 Start the level with Kromede’s Trial. If you aren’t using an amulet, this will be your 5th run. If you are, it will probably be your 3rd, but you should just rush the instance as soon as you hit 41 instead of grinding the mobs.

Speak with Kistenian to update “A Frozen City”.

Then head southwest up some stairs to get to a gap in a wall.

Head down the stairs. Open up your cube and right click on the orange orb.

Repeat this with the red orb and the white orb. When it’s all done, kill the ice spirit that spawns.

Return to Kistenian to turn the quest in and reach level 42.

Level 42 Fly to Beluslan Fortress. Here, in the temple, speak with Fargerberg to turn in “Stigma Stone will Break my Bones” and get you final normal stigma to choose and equip.

Then fly to Red Mane Cavern. Speak to Chieftain Akagitan to update “The Mauling of the Mau”. Pick up “Consulting the Leaders” from Freyja. Then head up the ramp to get to Mostin.

Update “Consulting the Leaders” and pick up “Assuming Con-Troll” and “Eradication Pa-Troll”. Head up the ramp more and talk to Delris to update “Consulting the Leaders” and “Decorative Skulls”. Talk to Thor to update “Consulting the Leaders” and pick up the light blue quest “Hoarfrost Diplomacy”. Then return to Freyja. Head out the east side of the cavern, cross the bridge, and head north. Kill 9 Rynoces and loot their skulls.

Then head east to a troll encampment. Kill 6 of the small trolls and 4 of the big trolls.

Then kill 2 of their houses. The houses are huge things with tusks on them. Melee, you will need to get inside the house as its hitbox is in the middle.

Return to the road and head east to hoarfrost shelter.

Talk to Hasyaditan to update “The Mauling of the Mau” and pick up “Mau’s Lament”. Speak with Svafastir a little to the west to turn in “Hoarfrost Diplomacy”.

Head south out of the camp to a ghost town. Kill 4 fighters, 2 shamans, 2 archers, and 1 healer and look them.

Return to the camp to turn in the quest to the chief. Then speak with Arita to update “The Mauling of the Mau”. Run with your Mau buddy along the west road until you come upon a rock with Mau on it.

Run around it until the cutscene activates. Then return to Red Mane Cavern to update “The Mauling of the Mau” and turn in “Eradication Pa-Troll”, “Assuming Con-Troll” and “Decorative Skulls”, heading up the ramp as you do so. Then talk to Thor to turn in “The Mauling of the Mau” and reach level 43.

Level 43 Speak with Lasyatil to pick up “Spirit’s Tears” and “Scarlet Warmth”. Speak to Chieftain Akagitan to pick up “Once a Friend, Now an Enemy”, “Scarlet Warmth”, and “The Efficacy of Fire”. Speak to Borvo to pick up “Red Mane Tribe’s Special Remedy”. Head to the top of the ramp and talk to Delris to update “The Efficacy of Fire”. Then head out the east side of the cavern and make your way south. When you get to a bridge, just off and glide down. When you land, kill 4 Terra Spirits and kill/loot 4 Earth Spirits (they look the same, but different names).

To the south of these spirits is Galciont the Hardy. Be full health when you attack him.

Then kill 6 Ice Petrahulks in the area.

To the north of the road, kill and loot 6 Cold Cyclone Spirits and kill 6 Cold Storm Spirits as you make your way east.

As we continue on the north side, we will come to Frostfist, so kill him. He spawns on the platform with the light going up.

As you make your way back to the road, gather tear crystals in the area. You’ll need 7 total, so look around here for them.

Work your way East across a bridge made of Hexagons. These are not perfectly connected, so I suggest jumping across it so you don’t fall to your death. When you cross the bridge, kill 6 Canyon Tricos and loot their horns.

Continue northeast onto the ice hexagons, and kill 4 Quartz Petrahulks.

In the northeast is Iceback.

To the south is a hexagon that moves up and down.

Take it up. At the top, kill 4 Frostmane Tiricos and loot their horns.

Continue south to get to Chillblow and kill him.

Head back west to get to Snowfury.

When he’s dead use your map teleport to return to Red Mane Cavern and turn your quests in to reach level 44.

Level 44 Head to Beluslan Fortress. Then find Endandos near the exit of the fortress and grab her pink quests for free goodies. Then speak with Nerita to update “Crisis in Beluslan”. Fly to Red Mane Cavern and then Hoarfrost Shelter. Use the teleport statue to head to Bakarma Barracks.

You will be on top of a hill. Head down the hill to talk to a drakie.

Update “Crisis in Beluslan” and pick up “Bakarma Barracks”, “Decimating the Bakarma Legion”, “Dangerous Drake”, and “Loud Nagas and Nagrants”. Warning: The next few quests for level 44 are soloable, but extremely difficult. It is advised you find a group for it if you are less experienced. Regardless, only aggro mobs that do not have another mob next to them. First, in this area, kill 3 Aetheric Field Dampeners. If you can’t find any, find one and change channels to kill it.

Once they’re down, kill the chief of staff. This guy hits HARD.

Next kill 3 Bakarma Strikers, Serpentguards, and Bloodmasters. There are single versions of each around this same area.

These guys have a skill called cruel capture which disables all skills for 10 seconds. If they use this on you, kite them for a bit and use a potion.

When done, head a bit further west. Here we will find plenty of single versions of Tyrants, Fleshmenders, and Willwarpers. Kill 3 Tyrants, 2 Fleshmenders, and 2 Willwarpers. Be careful with the Willwarpers. They will usually paralyze you for 10 seconds immediately and take down a ton of your health, so have a potion ready for the second you stop being paralyzed. They also have a reflect skill.

To the southwest are Duelists. These guys have an invisible mob next to them, so it is suggested to CC the duelist and then kill the invisible mob. Unfortunately, they do have cruel capture, so it may be extremely hard without a greater healing pot (available on broker). The only one without an add is pictured below.

Head north to get to Tamers and drakes. Kill 2 partnered with Drakies and 3 partnered with Wardrakes.

Tamers do turn you into a Tog for 12 seconds, so use a pot if you are. When done, head south and kill 9 Crusaders.

Return to the Drakie to turn in your quests. Use your map teleport to return to Beluslan Fortress. Turn in “Crisis in Beluslan” to reach level 45.

Level 45 Pick up “To Steal a Secret” from Nerita. Teleport to Hoarfrost Outpost and take the statue to the Bakarma Barracks. Head east to the entrance of Draupnir Cave. Speak to Alberich on the outside of the fortress.

Use a pandaemonium scroll to return to panda. Head back to Aud in the capital building like we did at level 20 and turn in “Better than Great” to receive a greater stigma. In here are for most classes their most important skills, so choose wisely and then equip it.

Head east to Artisan’s Hall and pick up “Unexpected Reward” from Talon.

Head down to the temple of gold to turn it in to the cube artisan. This is the last inventory expansion covered in this guide due to 4.9 changing the other inventory expansions. Grab goodies from your pink quests. Then teleport to Brusthonin. Fly to Baltasir Hill Village. Pick up “Glug Glug Glug” from Surt.

Head out the west side of the village and kill 10 Rotten Branch Agrints.

Return to Surt to turn in “Glug Glug Glug” and pick up “Sweeping Nahor Lake”. Head out the west and go further than before to kill 10 Web Cellatus.

Return to Surt to turn in “Sweeping Nahor Lake” and pick up “Stabilize the Saplands”. Fly to Bubu village and head southeast. Kill 10 Swamp Dionaes.

Return to Bubu village and turn the quest in to BuBu Khaaan and pick up “Scared Skurvs”. Head southeast and kill 10 Tenacious Karnifs.

Return to BuBu Khaaan to turn in the quest and pick up “Beach Day”. Head east out of the camp and kill 10 Chimaeras.

Return to BuBu Khaaan to turn the quest in and pick up “Back to Surt”. Head south and kill 10 Ksellids on the way.

Continue south to the edge of torment, and then fly to Baltasar Hill Village to turn the quest in.

This gear set is usable at level 46. However, if you are going to use it, you have to use all 5 pieces until you get shoes of another set. This set has 0% running speed on the shoes as opposed to the usual 22%, and instead put the 22% as a 5-piece set bonus. When you turn in the last quest, you should hit level 46.

Phase II – Instance Grinding (Levels 46-63) Levels 46-52 - Brusthonin Level 46 Equip all the new gear you just got. Then fly to Settler’s Campsite and teleport to Beluslan. Speak with Nerita to pick up “Induction to Brusthonin”. Then return to Surt to turn it in. Pick up “Vengeful Spirit Consolidation” and fly to the Edge of Torment. Speak with Lukmann to pick up “The Unforgiveable One”, “Lukmann’s Justice”, and “A Family’s Memento”.

At this point, you need to risk temptation. On lfg, you will probably see plenty of people looking to rush Adma or Theobomos Labs. While this will get you to 50 no problem after 5 runs of each, the problem is that doing so will use up counts on your repeatable quests. Until you hit level 51, you will be gaining double XP on the fast track server standard. After 51, you gain normal XP. What this means is that it’ll be much harder to gain the same XP in the instances. Therefore, you should save quest XP for when you hit level 51 to get to 53 without any difficulty. Go onto LFG, and decide if you want to duo (if you’re newer or less skilled or play a class like a ranger or assassin), or solo Adma. If you want to duo, look for a partner (ideal party has at least 1 songweaver, chanter, or cleric). If you want to solo, look for someone to hold group. Make your post, wait for someone to join, and then prepare to enter.

Instance #5 – Adma Stronghold Head into the big blue portal to your right to enter Adma.

After heading in, head north into the Granary and south into the storeroom. There will be a mini-boss there that drops a key.

Make sure to loot a serf here for a ring.

Return to the main hall, and on top of the stairs, kill the Bard.

He will drop another key. Head behind him and to the right to get to a door.

Your key from the steward will open it. Head inside and clear the way to the Bedroom. You’ll notice some mobs come in pairs. If the pair includes a Banshee, kill the Banshee first. If it is a Lich + Vampire, kill the Lich first (root the vampire).

You’ll then come to the bedroom. Clear it and take note of two object. First, the teddy bear in the south.

Second, the urn in the north.

Go an attack the princess. She will throughout the fight put 3 debuffs on you. One (cold wind) can be dispelled normally. The other two, look at the color. If it is blue, use the incense burner or you will lose mana and attack really slow. If it is red, use the teddy bear or you’ll lose health quickly.

When she dies, loot her for her crown and key. Return to the room prior and head north. There’ll be a door that the key opens.

Head through the hallway which lightly poisons you to get to Templar Taliesin.

Typical vampire mob. Loot him for a key. This key will be random. If you get the treasury, head to the room to the northeast. This boss will spawn boxes in the fight and they multiple, so burn him fast. If you get the servant’s quarters, head to the southeast room. This boss will sleep one target, and put a mana drain on them. If you get the Great Dining Hall key, head west. This boss is a typical vampire mob but comes with a banshee.

If you’re lucky enough to get the servant’s quarters key, make sure to loot a banshee in it for a necklace.

Head back to the main hall and head north. Follow the path back to the beginning, clearing all mobs. Then return to the main hall. Head east and use the door to get to the passageway. Hop down the hole into the sewers. Head north and clear mobs. Ignore the suspicious boy as he is too hard for a small group/solo. Follow the path south and clear the side room. Continue south and follow the path east to Bloodthirster.

Nothing special, just tank and spank. Continue through the passage to get to the southeast corner. Here is a destroyed door. Head through it to the final boss.

Lannok is easy to duo, but near impossible to solo. At the start, he does nothing but trample. However, at 50% he starts casting “Death Sentence”. This will be a 5 second debuff that must be dispelled (if you have no dispell skill, use a greater healing potion), or you die. At 33%, he’ll start summoning a set of 4 adds. These adds hit hard, and are the reason why you can’t solo it. After 25% he’ll also put you into Aether’s hold periodically.

Turn in your quests. At this point, there is a wide range of levels you could be. If you ran a duo with no XP boost, you’ll probably be 47. Or if you ran solo with a 200%, you’ll be well into level 50. Regardless, repeat this process until you hit level 52.

Level 47 Continue to run Adma.

Level 48 Continue to run Adma.

Level 49 Continue to run Adma.

Level 50 Stop by Sanctum and speak to Edandos for free goodies. Speak with Aud to pick up another greater stigma. Then continue to run Adma to level 51.

Level 51 Unlike the Elyos who get to rotate to Theo labs at this point, our Theo labs quests are complete and utter trash and commonly require multiple runs or a lot of side tasks to do. Ignore Theo and continue running adma to level 52.

Level 52 Speak with Ivar to pick up “Invade the Past”.

Fly to Settlers Campsite (Via Baltasir Hill) and then teleport to Beluslan. Then use your map teleport to go to Hoarfrost Shelter. When there, speak with Karzanke to pick up “A Test in Dark Poeta”

Right across from her, speak with Hresvelgr to turn in “Invade the Past”.

Pick up “Essence of Fate”, “Obtaining the Dragel”, “Acquiring the Drana”, and “Drana Gluttony”. Then use lfg to find a Dark Poeta group. When ready, use the artifact to enter.

Instance #6 – Dark Poeta When you get in, a timer will start ticking. You can skip it to 0 by using the door if you wish.

Head east towards a river. If you aggro a mob, kill it. Too many mobs will kill you. Then head north along the river to the Akarios Ruins. Clear just a little ahead on the path and then return to the first boss.

The boss will cast lots of paralysis. The one to be careful of though is his reflect. If he has a pink buff under his name, do not attack him or you will die fast. When he’s dead, use the scroll on the ground to update “Essence of Fate”. This boss drops a heroic chest box every run.

A few mobs will charge up the hill at you as soon as he’s dead, so don’t let your guard down. Then follow the road to the lake. Go around the lake and clear any mobs close to it (don’t aggro the bosses). Also kill any “captain” mobs you may see.

When cleared, attack the boss. The boss has 3 generators near him. Magic classes should attack the attack booster, and physical classes should attack the defense booster. Ignore the property controller. Failure to attack the right booster will reflect damage onto you and is a quick way to die.

The bosses are stupid easy when the generators are down. Two Marabatas will either drop fabled or heroic shoulder boxes (group loot), and one will drop either a fabled or heroic ring box (group loot). Head east and go to the northern part of the woods. Clear out the ghosts. Captains give more points.

While doing this, a leather should use their hunter’s eye to find Noah’s Furious Shade. Hit him and bring him north to the group.

This guy will do a scream to induce fear, so you want him near the mobs you cleared. His main move is grudge wound followed by deep grunge wound. Get behind him for deep if you have regular or it can oneshot. There is one more tree in the woods (more to the south). These drop heroic or fabled glove boxes (group loot). Follow the road north to a barricade. Ignore the barricade and head east. In here are several Spallers. You will want to train them on top of pits with drana in them. This will shock them for 20 seconds for free dps.

Repeat this for the 3 Spallers. Two can drop heroic and fabled gloves, and one can drop heroic or fabled earrings. All are group drops. Head back to the barricades. At 60%, 2 mobs will spawn. Kill them and return to the gate. When it’s down, kill 2 more mobs.

Head north. On this road are mutated fungie.

These mobs die in one hit, but also hit like a truck. If they get on top of you they cast explosion which will oneshot you. Have a high AoE class deal with them. Follow the road to another gate. Same type of mob spawns.

Follow the path west into a cave. When the road splits, head to the right branch to get to the telepathy controller.

Don’t stand on the blue circles. The telepathy controller at the start will cast stun waves. It also will spawn a balaur add. Burn the balaur fast. Keep heals up and survive past this phase and you’ll be fine. After 70% the stuns become slows, and no more balaur will spawn. This guy will drop either a fabled belt (group drop), or a heroic shield box (group drop). Continue west into the next room. Hit balaur only – do not hit any generators.

Clear the entire room – bottom of the ramp and the top. If you hit a generator by mistake, run far away so it resets. When the room is cleared, kill the Auxillary Generator in the middle. Do not loot it – the adds it spawns hit fast and hard and will kill you if you try, and they stay until all 3 are down. Kill the main generator (right one facing the ramp) next. Kill it with your ranged dps standing on the ramp. Then go up the ramp to the other side and kill the emergency generator (ranged dps only). This one will spawn mobile adds to attack you. When the 3 generators are down, Collect your loot. The left two can drop heroic or fabled pants boxes (group drop), and the right one can drop either a fabled necklace box or a heroic hat box.

Head up the ramp and tackle Anuhart.

Fight Anuhart on the circle where he spawned. He’s simple, but he will summon 4 adds you need to kill mid-fight. Anuhart will drop a fabled sword, dagger, pistol, mace, or shield. This is a single loot. Make sure to loot him for the item to update “Essence of Fate”.

You will then receive a grade. Right now, you only get grades S (if you killed most mobs in the instance), A (if you killed the bosses and captains), or B (if you just got the bosses). You will want A. Use the portal to get to the boss.

If you have S, you’ll have to find another guide as I have never beaten him. For A, he will cast a skill called “Come forth, my faithful servant”. Adds will spawn in the magma around. Kill then quick or they can wreck your healer. If you have B, just be aware of his reflect skill. S and A will drop an eternal weapon, a fabled weapon, and a chest piece box (chest can be heroic or fabled, group drop). B will drop a fabled accessory box that will give you a random accessory. Turn in your quests to Hresvelgr outside Dark Poeta. Return to Karzanke to turn in your quest (pick either 40 Drana or 40 Dragel), and speak with Hresvelgr again to turn in that quest. The fabled gear from DP is good, but you should only consider wearing it if you have the shoes. If you do not, you will lose the set bonus of your current gear which is where movement speed comes from (DP shoes have the speed on them). That said, I wouldn’t bother grinding DP for gear. Our current gear is good enough for the next few levels, and without the free manastones from the pink quests that were taken out in 4.8, they don’t have that much of an advantage anymore. At this point we will only be a few bars away from 53. You can either run DP again, grind Adma again, or try Theo Labs (which is not covered in this guide).

Levels 53-63 – Beshmundir Temple Levels 53-54 Head to Panda, and then teleport to Gelkmaros. Fly northeast to Rhonnamm Refugee Village. Note to fly here, you need to talk to the statue in the circle instead of to a flight transporter. Then when you land, run east and up a hill to get to an area between two guards.

The blue object is called a Windstream. Glide into it and let it take you to the end. Then head into the building.

There are balaur on either side, so either clear a path through one set, or use a shield to get to the other wall.

When you’re through, right click on the door to enter Silentra Canyon.

Go onto lfg and ask for someone to clear the first 3 bosses of Beshmundir Temple if you’re going to solo it, or look for a duo partner. When you have someone, follow the path below to reach Beshmundir temple.

When you get to the door, say you want to take the safer path and then teleport in.

Instance #7 – Beshmundir Temple Beshmundir Temple is an instance that give a hell of a lot of XP for not a lot of work. If you have a Merek, you can clean up in here quickly. Also, use your tea of reposes whenever you’re out of repose. In here, there are 5 types of mobs. 1. Magus – These will always open with a reflect, so don’t burst them early. After that they mainly autoattack for a lot of damage. 2. Officer/Healer – These mobs are melee, but after 15 seconds summon a dps servant. Kill the servant immediately or it and the officer will annihilate you. 3. Trapper/Assassin – These mobs will chase after you and then hit you for a ton of damage fast. Best killed with ranged characters. 4. Legatus/Warrior – These may throw a distant blade at you slowing you, but they are overall simple to kill. 5. Ranger/Sniper – Beware their “Powerful Shot”. It is exactly as it sounds. If you do not have a sleep, prioritize killing the healer first in all situations. Root/disable a melee mob while you kill a magus. And if both are melee, immobilize the trapper over the legatus because it has less chance to resist the root. If you do have a sleep, prioritize sleeping the healer. Sleep a magus and kill a melee. Sleep a trapper over a legatus. After clearing the first room, engage the boss. This boss is best kited around (use running scrolls). At times he will stop chasing and start spinning around. This is your chance to dps it (but don’t be super close to it when he’s spinning). At about 50%, his attacks also will lower healing on the target by 50%.

A pretty infamous superstition is that you should never loot the ring he drops or you won’t get anything you want in the rest of the instance. Head into the west room. In here are several ghosts. These all drain your MP, so have pots and dispels ready.

Continue north and head east to the hero’s vault. In here are pairs of statues on either side. If the statue is a “statue” or “monument”, it is not going to activate. If it is a “Gladiator” or an “Ambusher”, it will activate as soon as you cross its line of sight. Use this to your advantage.

At the end of the hall if the Great Virhana. Make sure that you stand right under his feet as all ranged damage is reflected to the caster. You will have 90 seconds to kill him (which should be plenty of time), at which time he’ll start to oneshot. During the fight he’ll slam his sword into the ground doing big damage, so use pots and heals to survive.

Head east to the Garden of the Dead. Do not charge into it – rather hug the south wall. If a mob aggros you, kill it in one shot. Right before the courtyard is Taros.

Taros will be similar to Lannok in terms of attacks. However, at 25% he will enrage and attack at super speed. This is the time to use DP to either heal quickly, or burn him fast. When he dies, his corpse (sort of hard to see, do /select Taros Lifebane to select him) will have a key. Head up the stairs to open the door. In here are your wide assortment of mobs. There are also 4 special “Gatekeepers”. Kill them to get keys.

Note that the pair of trappers in front of the south ramp will aggro each other even though they don’t look like it.

On the southeast wall, use the keys to open up doors to get to more mobs to kill. Judges are really squishy.

The northern gate on the bottom floor is special because there is also an archer in it. Head up the stairs to get to two more gates. Note that there is a sniper walking around on top as well. However, what we are mainly concerned about are the two mobs on the north side. This is the only occurrence of a mage and a medic that aggro each other. All classes should burn the medic first, as sleeping him would just result in wasted sleep time while the agent has a reflect up.

Head back through the Hero’s vault and head north and then west. Here we get to a long hallway called “the rooms”.

The mobs here behave slightly differently. Trappers will start with a huge hit, so you don’t want to deal with them. Spirits will start with a firebolt or a stun, and then they will turn you into a tree. Make sure you’re at full health when they cast curse of roots on you as their firebolt that comes after hurts. Legatuses have a skill called “Hydro Eruption” that you don’t want to be near when it goes off. No mobs here are in pairs by designs, so only pull when they are a bit apart. Clear your way down the west hall (there is an archer that patrols back and forth). Then drake signifies the halfway point. Then continue west to get to some slimes.

These slimes HURT. Kill them from range if you can and be prepared to kite. Do not go into the room north of the slimes – it is a boss. Also do not go into the room west of the slimes – it is another boss that has wiped many full parties in the past. Just clear the south room and return to the center. Head east this time to kill the corpeal balaur. These have the same moves as the ghosts with one difference. Slayers. Slayers are archers, and when you attack them, they will always start with “throw trap”. When they do that, run immediately away and don’t stop running until they hit you with arrow deluge. The trap is invisible and is under your feet about 1 second after it is cast. It immediately starts to explode, and if that + arrow deluge hits you, it is a oneshot. Clear all rooms except the far east room. You should easily have hit level 55 this run.

Level 55 Use a scroll to return to Panda. Speak with Edandos to get your last set of consumables.

Teleport to Gelkamros. Follow the ramp east into a building to turn in “Major Sixth” to Garath to get your last stigma. For some classes (Songweaver comes to mind), this is your most useful skill. Regardless, equip it.

Now we’re going to get gear we can level in to the end. Head north off the ramp and speak with Richelle to pick up “Trouble, not Trivia”.

Make your way north and kill 10 rotting crestliches on the way.

Speak with Vesvola to turn it in.

Pick up “Not so sweet”. Head north and kill 10 Ksellids.

Return to Vesvola to turn in the quest and pick up “Monsters Unholy”. Head southwest to a cliff.

Open your wings and fly down to the bottom. In the water, kill 10 Slinks.

Gluggas are also plentiful and can be killed instead.

Return to Vesvola to turn in the quest and pick up “Final Krug Clearing”. Return below the cliff and in the middle on the land portion, kill 10 seaforms or sludgers. Seafoams will aggro each other.

Return to Vesvola to turn in the quest and pick up “Move Along Now”. Use your map teleport to move to Gelkmaros Fortress and then fly south to Subterranea Observation Post. Outside of the post, kill 10 Dionaes and Manticores.

Speak with Fjoelnir at the post to turn it in.

Pick up “Good on Gelkmaros”. Follow the road north that bends to the west. Kill 10 exquisite Nagolems and Snufflers on the way.

Return to Richelle in the fortress to turn in the quest and receive the last piece of gear. This gear should last you all the way to level 64, so equip it as soon as you can.

Levels 56-60 Run Beshmunir Temple on repeat. With a 200% charm and solo, it should be 1 run to go from 53-58, and then 1 to go 58-61.

Levels 61-63 Continue to run Beshmundir Temple. At this point you are much better off running it solo than with a partner. It’s usually 1 run a level at this point with a 200% charm solo. You should be able to solo the first boss at this point if you cannot find anyone to clear the three bosses for you. If you do this, kill the first room, the ghosts, the statues, and the rooms north.

Phase III – The Final Push (Level 64) Level 64 Part A - Gelkmaros Level 64 At level 64, we see a large number – 508 million XP to earn. This is very doable because of the strategies we’ve employed. However, at this point you have a choice between 3 options. Option A – Run Beshmundir Temple solo with a 200% amulet until you are 65. This method is the fastest and will take about 3 runs to do. However, some classes (Templar, Ranger, Assassin) may have difficulty soloing Besh, or you may be bored of it, or you may want to see the storyline. Option B – Run Beshmundir Temple once with a 200% amulet to get 200m XP. Then follow the campaigns to reach level 65. All campaign instruction will be listed in red below. Option C – Do most dark blue quests in Gelkmaros (13/14), and the first 9 in Enshar, along with all campaigns. This way we avoid the pvp area as much as possible and have easier kills. This is fully outlined in the next two sections. Head to Panda and go to the capital building. Speak with Vidar to update “Go to Gelkmaros”

Head south and you’ll get to a statue. Use it to teleport to the Convent of Marchutan.

Speak with Agehia inside.

Use the teleport statue to return to Panda. Then on the other side of the bridge, use another teleport statue to move to the airship dock to the northwest.

Speak with Tigrina to teleport.

Then head into the main building to update “Go to Gelkmaros” at Richelle. Pick up “A Helping Hand”. Speak with Herhen and Hogidin next to her to update the campaign twice more.

Then at the bottom of the steps, speak with Valetta to update the quest again. Also pick up “Goodwill Envoy”. Speak with Hnikar and Gelastra to pick up “Cleaning out Leftovers” and “Missing Pieces”.

Head out the building and down the ramp to speak with Agovard.

Return up the ramp and speak with Renato on the south side (He’s on the upper layer of the fortress, so head up two ramps and head west).

Then go into the building just east and him to turn in the quest to Ipses and pick up “Ipses’s Ambition”.

Head out the south side of the fortress. Before you leave, speak with Tikalanerk for some quick free XP.

Head south over a cliff. Gather 10 Balaur Corpses here.

Then kill 10 Worm Snufflers and loot them (80% drop rate).

You can return to the main road by an arc in the middle.

Head west and kill 10 Balaur. If you kill 5 Legionaries and 5 Assassins, you’ll get both campaign and side quest done at the same time.

Then right click the watching eye in your inventory.

After a cutscene, head down into the canyon and head into the cave.

Because of your level, nothing will aggro you. Just head to the top of the stone and kill Trifire, looting his shard.

Then return to the fortress to turn in your quests. On the north end of the fortress is a platform that starts a Windstream. Jump into it and fly to the end. Then glide into the next Windstream and take that to the end. Note you want to be on top of the waterfall for the next part. You’ll come to a camp.

Speak with Angrad to update “All about Normal Aether”.

Speak with Eddas to update “All about normal Aether”.

Speak with Irkail to pick up “Heart of Wood” and Vesvola to pick up “Mookie Farming”. Then head east and kill 10 mookies. If you’re too close, the guards will kill it and you’ll get no credit.

Return to Vesvola to turn in your quest and pick up “Ecologist’s Advice”. Head north near the purple area and kill Wildspine.

Return to Vesvola to turn the quest in.

Head to the waterfall and fly down. On the north side, speak with Taloc’s Guardian to update “All about Abnormal Aether” and teleport into Taloc’s Hallow.

Instance #8 – Taloc’s Hallow When you enter in, right click “Taloc’s Fruit” in your special cube to use it.

Then start right clicking Taloc’s Tears. You need to do this 20 times to update the quest, and the item has a 10 second cooldown.

Hit some spiders to make Ancient Octanus appear. He will open the gate to the north.

Follow the east path, and then head south to Kinquid’s Den (not the Swampspring). Kinquid is the first boss, and while he has mechanics, we are such high level now we can ignore them and just burn him.

Follow the path east, and then follow the road south. At nearly the bottom, gather Taloc’s Knot to update “Heart of Wood”.

At the bottom is queen Mosqua, the second boss. She will spawn eggs that summon mobs, and she also will summon a clone. You can for the most part ignore all these until she dies.

Hit the cracked egg to get a Windstream to appear. When it does, head to the center of the crater, jump, and then press jump again to start gliding and you’ll fly up.

When at the top, head north to Celestius, the final boss. This guy likes to pull you and can summon adds. However, due to our level, he is easy.

Taloc’s Mirage will appear. Speak with him to update to teleport out.

Fly to the top of the waterfall to turn in your quests. Use your map teleport to Rhonnam Refugee Vilage. Speak with Skira to update “Drana Solution”. Also pick up “Sweeping the Ruins”.

To the south, speak with Chenkiki to pick up “Cowering Enemies” (Ignore Chenkiki’s Enemies – they have too long of a respawn time.)

Then speak with Sayakiki to the north of him to pick up “Selling Salvage”.

Head east into a pond and kill Thicket Airons until you have 10 Knicknacks. They seem to only have a 33% drop rate, but they die quickly.

Head north. In this area, gather 10 debris fragments.

In the area, look for Balaur (they’re the scaly ones). Kill 5 of them.

In the center of the ruins you’ll find a suspicious Wreck (use /where Suspicious Wreck if you need to). Right click it, and a shugo may or may not appear. If one does, speak with it. Otherwise, wait for the wreck to respawn and try again.

Head west to get to the Drana Glowing Device. Right click it to update the quest.

Then use the Aether Generational Device under it to update the quest again.

Return to camp to turn in your quests. Then take a flight via the aethercraft back to Gelkmaros Fortress and down to Subterranea Observation post. Speak with Fjoelnir to update “Rescue the Reians”.

Speak with Ortiz to update it again.

Follow the road south and it’ll bend sharply west. Follow the road until you get to an outcropping north.

Head northeast to get to a ramp. Head up it but don’t go under the bridge. Instead, hang a right to get to a corridor.

At the end, speak with the Destroyed Gargoyle to teleport.

Once inside speak with 4 Brainwashed Reians. You don’t have to worry about the mobs as none will aggro you.

Then on the west side kill Kura Stormgaze. She dies in 3 hits, so burst her down.

Speak with Animo to update the quest, and then use the door behind where Suregaze stood to teleport out. Use your map teleporter to return to the observation post. Turn in your quest, and then fly to Gelkmaros Fortress. Speak with Valetta to update “Silentera Support”. Then head to the flight statue. Speak with Norud to update “Silentera Support” and then use the statue next to him to teleport.

Head inside the building and speak with Mastarius to update “Silentera Support”.

Speak with Ricaldo at the bottom of the steps to pick up “Rise of the Living Stone”. Then a little to the east speak with Phina to pick up “Valuable Crystal”. Near the north exit, speak with Belik to pick up “Reian Incorporeal Phantoms” and “Useless Regret”. Head out of the building into the city. Kill 2 Mugolems at the bottom of the stairs.

Then kill 6 Caryatids wandering around the city.

On the north side, kill 2 Nagolems.

Head south and kill 10 Winged Nagolems or Exquisite to loot their Hazy Crystals.

To the right of the foot of the bridge, speak with Aglauros to turn in “Goodwill Envoy” (ignore his follow up).

Continue south and kill 5 reian mages and 5 reian warriors.

At the south side of the spirits, kill Gatz the wise.

Return to the building to turn in your quests. Head north across a bridge and then head east to speak with Jecasti and update “Silentera Support”.

Follow the road west to speak with Arango to update the quest. Note that once you pass the gate, mobs will be high enough level to aggro you.

Head towards the Beshmundir Temple Entrance like we did before. You’ll get to the same gate. This time, head down into it and kill 10 balaur on the sides. Mages have a reflect skill you’ll want to look out for (bright pink = don’t kill). Make your way down to the entrance.

After 10 are killed and you’re at the doorway, right click the report paper to update the quest.

Use your map teleport to return to Gelkmaros Fortress. Speak with Valetta and then Richelle to turn in “Silentera Support”. Then talk to the teleport master by the flight statue to teleport to Enshar, our last zone.

Level 64 Part B - Enshar Level 64 When you land head to the fountain and speak with Cogelhogan to update “Enshar Expedition”. Pick up “Getting to know you”.

Head up to the flight statue and speak with Migrak. Unlike normal teleporters, he doesn’t stand right next to the statue.

Head into the west building and talk with Haldor to turn in “Enshar Expedition”.

Make your way north. Speak with Gardon who walks in and out of the first building on your left to pick up “Shell Out”.

In the next building north, speak with Toporinerk to update “Getting to know you”.

Return to the building just south and speak with Funen to update the quest.

Return to Cogelhogan at the fountain to turn in the quest. Head east towards the road to get to Ronkim. Pick up “Kill the Kerub”.

Make your way north and kill 10 kerubs. None of these will aggro.

In the north by the sea, gather 6 Red Pearl Shells.

Return to Ronkim to turn in your quest. Then speak with Danpaul twice to turn in his. Head east to get to Bonat. Update “What the Ruins say” at him.

Follow the road south to get to Nixie. Speak with her to update “What the Ruins say”. Also pick up “Ruin Research Relief”. Speak with Metli to pick up “Big Scale Research” and Ofrid to pick up “Seaweed Proceed”.

Head north out of camp. Kill 5 Coralmane Tricos and loot them for scales.

Also kill 5 Wandering Seafin Vespines and loot their scales.

You’ll arrive at the Dreg Findspot (Do /where Dreg Findspot if you need it).

Head inside and use the ruins.

To the north, kill 10 Blooming Petalsprites.

Make your way south to the second Balaur Ruins to update the quest.

Head west and gather 4 dried seaweed.

Continue south past the campsite to get to the intact Balaur ruins. You’ll have to jump over a cliff to get here. Be careful to not land right in the rubble by the edge or you’ll get stuck. Choose to look down.

Speak with the Putrid Balaur Corpse to update your quest. An assassin will appear to kill.

Return to camp to turn in “What the ruins say”. Also turn in “Seaweed Procede” and “Ruin Research Relief”.

Head south. When you reach the gate, make a right (prior to the gate) and follow the road to some Reians.

Turn in “Big Scale Research”. Then jump and glide down the southeast cliff to get to our first village.

From this point on, any time we arrive in a camp or village, use an Obelisk to bind. PVP is frequent from this point on, so you may have to rez back a few times. Speak with Walque to update “Evolving Mysteries”.

Speak with Kronaig to update the quest again. Then speak with Swith near the aetheric field to pick up “Soup de Cure”.

Outside of camp, kill 5 seashell fungies and loot their flesh. They come in groups of 3 but are easy kills.

Then kill 5 pufferfish and loot their flesh.

Return to Swith in the village to update the quest. Then speak with Kronag to turn it in.

Follow the road south and overshoot the dungeon mark a bit to the south. Then double back to get to the Rentus Recovery Base. Speak with Kanovi to update “Evolving Mysteries”.

Also pick up “Tejhi Technology”. Speak with Malthorn in front of the other tent to pick up “Sprouting Developments”. Head east out of camp and kill and kill 5 Dreadclaws. Both tired and young ones will drop the items.

Continue west and kill 10 Tejhi and loot their weapons. Note that the only the ones standing around or fighting the dinosaurs will drop the item. The ones in the village will not.

As you are on this side, look for “Dry Highland Malodors”. Kill 3 of them and loot their seed.

Return to camp to update “Evolving Mysteries”. Speak with Kanovi twice to turn in “Tejhi Technology”, and speak with Malthorn twice to update “Sprouting Developments”. Head west. You’re aiming for a girl named Varrla (2 r’s, the quest has a typo). Do /where Varrla for her location. Then use the seeds in your special cube to update the quest.

Speak with Varrla to turn the quest in. Then head a little west. Right by the entrance to the Tejri village is Muratan to update your quest.

Return to the village to the north. Speak with Batuga outside it to update the quest.

Then speak with Walque inside to turn it in. At this point, we have earned at least 387 million XP. We no longer need to do side quests, so they will not be explained. As such, all text from here on will be in black.

Return to Dragonrest temple via the teleport statue. Then use the aethercraft to fly to Dawnbreak Temple.

Head inside and speak with Engrid to update “Ancient, Evil Plans”.

Head east of the temple to speak with Egzen.

To the south, kill any Aetheric Protection balaur and loot it for a token.

Return to Egzen to update the quest. Then head northwest a good distance to get to a temple.

Head inside and towards the altar to update the quest and get a cutscene. Then return to Dawnbreak Temple to turn in your quest. Use the teleport statue to go to Cet Village.

Speak with Xeikun to update “Tiamat’s Shadow”.

Head northeast from the camp to get to a balaur camp. Kill any 5 balaur to update the quest.

Return to Xeikun to update the quest. At this point, I had to head north and the quest updated bringing me back to Xeikun. This may be a glitch however so you may be able to skip it.

Head north to get to Wretched Plot. Kill 5 Vengeful Aetheric Guards as you make your way into their camp.

On the south side of the camp is Cursed Gilgamesh. Kill him to update the quest. It may be a glitch, but he didn’t attack me at all.

He will return as a ghost. Speak with him to update his quest. Then return to the village and speak with Jalturan on the south side to update it.

Turn in your quest to Xeikun.

Use the teleport device to return to dawnbreak temple.

Fly west to the whirlpool temple, and then use the teleport device to get to Bomire Village.

Speak with Cenute to update “Ancient Crystal”.

Head west and speak with Maleite.

See that road jutting north? That’s what we’re going to follow. Start to follow it and use the field warden bodyguard corpse to update the quest. A mob will spawn to kill.

Continue following the road north and use another corpse. Another mob will spawn to kill.

Then head west. We’ll get to an altar.

Clear the drakes below the ramp first. Then kill the balaur blow the ramp. Head up the ramp and kill the two warrior balaur. Then finally kill the mage. You’ll get a cutscene. Return to the village to turn in your quest. Use the teleport statue to get to Whirlpool Temple.

Head inside the temple and speak with Sefrim.

Follow the road south. Overshoot the quest marker and then double back to reach Julia.

Make your way south. You should see an archway on the right.

Head through it and you’ll find an enigmatic Drakan. Kill it.

A Interhypno Ego will appear. Kill it as well. This guy is pretty tanky.

Then Jadun will appear. Speak with him to update the quest. Return to Julia to update the quest again, and then return to the Whirlpool temple and turn the quest in to Sefrim. Use the teleport statue to go to the Fatebound Legion Outpost.

Speak with Vard to update “It’s Worse than we Thought”.

Across from him, speak with Theodoricus and then Daruku.

Make your way south. You can follow the road if you want, but all mobs will reset if you just charge through them. Speak with Bakorn to update the quest.

Then head into the cave he’s guarding.

You’ll get a cutscene when you’re at the bottom. Orissan and Abatara will spawn. You can kill them if you want, or you can just run out of the cave.

Return to Xard to turn in your quest and reach level 65.

Level 65 You did it! Congratulations! So, now what do we do? Obviously, we’re going to try to get some gear. How do you get gear? That’s for another guide (one that I will not be writing). I don’t know why you chose to play an asmo, but please enjoy your time dying under the Elyos knives.
