I run a thriving and successful business based in Leeds, helping people to make long term changes to their lives to ensure a healthy future. Running my own business has given me an opportunity to utilise all of my sales, marketing and networking skills and also develop some new business skills necessary to run a small business. A solid background in sales, marketing and communications has enabled me to set up and run a profitable business (last years accounts showed a turnover figure of £280K). I also lead a team of staff including 2 associate consultants, 2 locums and an administrator. My core strength is relationship building, events management and marketing. These skills have helped me to secure to build good relationships with key corporate clients such as M&S, Debenhams, First Direct, Asda, Green Flag in order to build business in Pudsey and also develop a new site in Leeds City Centre. Through regular publicity events, hosted events and targeted marketing across the region we ensure a regular stream of clients. Our biggest source of referrals is our clients. I believe this is as a result of my passion about the programme and my teams commitment to offering the best service possible to our clients. I am qualified to use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analyisis in order to help people to understand their relationship with food and help them to effect positive change for a long term healthy future. Perfect Information, established in 1991, is the premier online global provider of financial research, analytic and company filings information. I was brought on board to act as a consultant to help penetrate business in the North. Based in Leeds, my role as Regional Business Development Manager involved generating new revenue streams for all of the Perfect Information products. This was achieved through clear prospecting, customer segmentation, partner networking and a focused approach to business growth. HSBC BANK PLC LONDON

HSBC Asset Management is the global investment advisory and fund management business of the HSBC Group. The Market Data Services team was responsible for the procurement and provision of all market data for this division. The market data provided covered a broad range of services, such as real-time exchange information, financial news services and research analysis packages. The core focus of the role was to centrally manage, control and distribute market data. I was responsible negotiating new contract and fee structures with information vendors and ensuring that all costs were accurately allocated, controlled and transparent to the CEO of Asset Management and Investment Management. I was also involved in reviewing alternative market data systems and ensuring that the businesses are kept appraised of viable systems.

TELEKNOWLEDGE UK BRACKNELL

TeleKnowledge is a Boston based technology company that provides innovative billing and CRM software. My role was to steer the state-of-the-art datacom technology by identifying market trends and promoting the concept of next-generation billing models in the UK. Managing the business development revenue stream for the UK through direct sales activity and also managing and leading a close-knit team of sales and pre-sales executives. The role involved working closely with targeted accounts, gaining a clear and precise understanding of their business model in order to establish the value proposition to secure revenue streams. The role also involved planning and managing shows and exhibitions, press management, input into company and product literature, the development of client and partner presentations and supporting literature. Business goals where achieved through building strong relationships with accounts and with business critical partners such as Systems Integrators (PricewaterhouseCoopers, Accenture), independent software vendors (middleware, mediation), network hardware suppliers (Nortel, IBM, Sun, Alcatel). Thomson Financial is a $2 billion leading global e-information and Solution Company in the business and professional marketplace. I was responsible for the sale of Real Time and Transactional Solutions and also Bespoke Development Services to the financial community. I managed a significant proportion of existing revenue within a base of strategic Fund Management, Brokerage and Investment Houses. With responsibility for growing the revenue in line with predefined targets. I was also responsible for minimising cancellation risks within these accounts. These goals where achieved through building strong relationships, at all levels, within target accounts. Business was negotiated on a strategic ‘group-wide’ basis, where possible, rather than on an individual basis, ensuring a cost-effective solution to the client whilst maximizing revenue opportunities. Bridge Information Systems was a US based multinational company supplying real-time financial information, trading solutions, analytics and news. Whilst in Asia I was approached by Bridge to join their equity sales team with the objective of maximizing penetration within all existing strategic accounts. I developed strong commercial relationships with existing customers and grew revenue in accordance with predetermined targets and worked closely with the marketing division to generate new brochures and product guides. FINANCIAL TIMES INFORMATION LONDON & SINGAPORE

I started my career with FT in 1996 and progressed quickly through the company. Initially starting as a Customer Support Executive, I was later promoted to Sales and Account Management. During my role as account manager I was responsible for generating new business and protecting existing revenue in a range of city based financial institutions. My objective was to grow business within an existing customer base of stockbrokers, fund managers, management consultants and corporate clients in London. I was transferred from the UK headquarters to Singapore to take on the role of developing South East Asia. My role was to review existing business and develop a competitive strategy for a range of research products in Malaysia and Indonesia. This was achieved by reviewing and developing new marketing messages and materials. I also developed strategic alliances with stock exchanges, agents and complementary vendors in both regions. Existing business was grown and maintained through effective client relations via a team of account executives and engineers. Through a combination of targeted marketing, regular field trips and tenacious sales efforts we secured accounts such as the Malaysian Stock Exchange and KPMG. Malaysian sales grew by 50% during this period.

SKILLS I am extremely self-motivated and enjoy seeking new challenges. I perform well as a team member and as an individual. I display initiative and work well under pressure ensuring that targets and objectives are met. I adapt well to new situations and demonstrate confidence and professionalism in my work. I wish to expand and build on the experience that I have gained through marketing, sales management and overseas exposure through working in new and innovative fields. INTERESTS I like most sports. I particularly enjoy outdoor sports such as mountain biking and running.
