THE PARK A HIERARCHY olves are very intelligent and . The alpha pair leads the pack during the hunt and makes necessary decisions. COMMUNICATION Wolves howl for many different reasons. Howls can be used to locate a lost member of the group or help encourage pack unity.
THEIR PUPS A female pup usually has a litter of 3-10 pups in the spring . These pups are small , weighing about one pound . The mother tends to her pups while the other wolves in the pack care for the mother.
1 .Wolves can smell their prey over a over a mile away. 2. Wolves can run 5 mph for long periods of time but have been know to spring as 35 mph . 3. Often time it take the strength of the pack to kill large prey such as a deer or caribou.
