Meet Sam Quinn My name is Sam Quinn and I am running for District Judge in Court 38-1--07, located on Cricket Avenue in Ardmore. I ask for your vote in the Democratic Primary on May 19th.

I am running for judge because I have the professional qualifications and practical experience necessary to be an effective problem prob solver, a role often required in the ""people’s court." My professional background as a litigation attorney provides me with the required foundation to make proper decisions. During the course of my legal career, I have handled every type of case that may come before me as District Judge.

The position of District Judge is one of public trust. As an elected official in the Borough of Narberth, I am the only Democratic candidate that has successfully earned and demonstrated a commitment to this public trust. The history of Sam Quinn in this community is a history of volunteer public service that dates back to the 1960's.

I was born and raised in Narberth and I've lived there for approximately 40 of my 48 years. I attended Narberth School for kindergarten, St. Margaret's elementary, and Archbishop John Carroll high school, graduating in 1979.

Civic Commitment

My earliest memories of volunteer work in Narberth are collecting money for the fireworks from the back of a fire truck and helping ping Mr. Furber and Mr. White set up for Narberth summer basketball games

As the years passed, my volunteer work evolved to include helping Lower Merion and Narberth veterans maintain the War Memorial site and run the annual Memorial Day Parade.

I also served a trustee in the Narberth Library Board where I coordinated the most successful fund raiser in their history, the 1st Annual Wine Tasting dinner.

I was invited to become a Director by the members and Board of the Narberth Fire Company, an invitation I accepted with honor. I continue to serve on the Board as the representative of Narberth Borough Council.

In January 2007 I was appointed by Borough Council to fill the unexpired term of a councilman who moved from Narberth. I stood for election in November 2007 and received the highest vote total in the general election for Borough Council.

As Chairman of Public Safety, I have a history of cooperation with the police and fire companies serving Narberth and Lower Merion. This track record will help ensure a cost efficient and effective court administration if I am elected District Judge.

This extensive history of volunteer work in this community demonstrates a proven record of commitment to the people of Lower Merion and Narberth. This record proves my history of putting the people’s business first and devoting the time necessary to fulfill the duties of my office. I am the only Democratic candidate for District Judge with such an extensive record of service; I do not ask you to rely on promises, I ask you to look at my record.

Professional Qualifications

In 1999 I graduated from Widener Law School after four years of night and weekend classes in Wilmington, Delaware and twelve years working as a paralegal in a center city law office. As part of my professional career I have worked for judges of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and New Jersey Superior Court. I've seen firsthand and from the inside how Courts work. I've gained practical knowledge of what works and what does not work in the efficient administration of justice.

In addition to my work in the Court systems of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, I've also appeared in the Courts as a litigating attorney. I've represented clients in the local District Courts to Federal Courts. I've been entrusted by parents to help their children when confronted with the power of the Court and I've been entrusted by Fortune 100 companies to make decisions in Court that can effect their public image and bottom line. My name is Sam Quinn, I ask for your vote for District Judge in the May 19th Democratic primary.
