NOTES FOR THOSE WITH AN INTEREST WEBSITE: Have been adding photos and information to my website. For glasses in this auction found on my website and noted as website (but NOT in the book) go to peanutbutterglassesandmore.weebly.com LOT 46: The slant name Columbines are among the most difficult glasses to find. The blue is easy to find. The turquoise is a slant name glass. After that, all the other colors exist but are rarely found. Have found four in 5 years of searching. A small difference in the glasses but a huge difference in rarity. These are 7-8 in rarity. Value? Two other glasses that are much rarer than indicated in the book are the Asters (red and blue) with dot. Haven't found one in 5 years of searching. Rarity 7-8. LOT 101: The 5" thick base Davy Crocketts with leather panels rank from easy to find to very hard to find. Any other western characters like this Daniel Boone are rarely seen. Have owned Wild Bill Hickok and there are probably others. LOT 118: This Day-Lily is only the 2nd glass I've seen with identical graphics to Boscul flowers. The other is the tea size Camellia (Lot 21). LOT 122: Both of the two-tone Dogwoods are usually pink and white but can be found in cream (or off white) also. Definitely a color variation. LOT 172: With the exception of the vary rare Orchid (Lot 269), this is the rarest item in sale. LOT 188, 189, 256: For two reasons, I think these are possibly Dauntless peanut butter glasses: (1) they are rarely found but mostly in the Dauntless sales area (IN, IL, OH, MI); (2) glasses are same size and shape as Dauntless fruits. LOT 222-230: Located set of 32 of these President glasses in original box from Libbey Glass. Would assume 32 is the complete set, ending with Franklin D. Roosevelt. LOT 276-279: An interesting set that I don't see often. No idea if these were product glasses. LOT 314: The reddish pine with snow is the most rare juice. Last one at auction sold for $500. BUT the cones are faded. The green and white colors are fine, not unusual for one color to fade. Offered because it is so rare. LOT 377-379: This attractive and very hard-to-find set of four known glasses is a special addition for the bird collectors. Up to six colors on a glass. LOT 411: This set of 48 Big Top State glasses includes all. All are 5 1/4" except New Jersey, Nevada, and Mississippi, which are 5 ". There are NO known 5 1/4" New Jersey and Nevada glasses. These sell for one money with a starting bid of $90 (less then $2 each). The two cartons that the glasses are currently in sell with the lot (no additional packaging necessary). LOT 442-446: Recently located a full page, full color ad featuring these History Dogs filled with Kroger peanut butter, dated 1952. Important information for PB glass collectors, Thanks to John Rose, MI. LOT 469-470: These two juice-size song glasses are the same size as those pictured at the top of page 210. They are very hard to find.
