“We’re !om Wisconsin--this just comes natura#y. Now we can do what we love!” Fin a lly! N a t u r a l C h e e s e o n t he Market! he City Market is proud to welcome a natural cheese vendor to our array of farmers and artisans. Nancy Crompton, owner of Sterling Ridge Dairy, in Willis, Virginia, operates, with her husband, a full dairy, producing milk and cheese from their own natura#y raised, pasture fed dairy cows. The Cromptons are a natural fit for their trade, as they relocated from Wisconsin, and sought a farm conducive to cheese production.

Nancy Crompton delights in sharing samples of their cheeses with customers, and enthusiastically explains not only the flavor, but the process of each type of cheese. Sterling Ridge features specials, as well as their staples: Simplicity, an aged farmer’s

cheese; Jack Pot, Pepper Jack; Gold Rush, a cow cheddar; Masquerade, a goat cheddar; a spicy Monterey; and an aged cheddar. Two flavors of spreadable cheese are always available. They often produce a goats’ milk, and Feta was their Special of the Week, last Saturday. Crompton anticipates adding new types of cheese as seasons, production, and development allow, and is happy to accommodate advance orders. Sterling
