 Early Anti-virals for immunocompromised patients  Chronic infections needs treatment to reduced risk of liver cancer and cirrhosis. - with elevated ALANINE AMINOTRANSFERASE & HBV DNA.

Drugs that prevents virus replication and minimize liver damage: • ANTIVIRAL DRUGS b. Lamivudine ( Epivir ) c. Adefovir ( Hepsera ) d. Tenofovir ( Viread ) e. Telbivudine ( Tyzeka ) f. Entecavir

• 2 Immune System Modulators c. Interferon alpha-2a d. Pegylated interferon alfa-2a (Pegasys)

 Infants are given Hepatitis B Immune globulin ( HBIg )  A new discovery, a DNA-Binding Ribonucleoprotein K ( hnRNP K ) & HBV replication in patient by controlling the levels of hnRNP.

 Supportive measures as analgesicantipyretic ( pain & fever ) given.  Care of skin & good personal hygiene.  Staying healthy & improving the health of the liver.

Staying healthy by improving: a. Well balanced diet LFLS & DM diet b. Avoid high doses of Vitamin A, D and Iron c. Steer clear of alcohols, certain drugs, chemicals & smoking. d. Moderate exercise to control stress & fatigue unless feeling ill.
