Make your own indicator using red cabbage Put on your goggles. Put some red cabbage leaves beaker. Add a little hot water to the leaves. Mix the leaves with a glass rod for 2 minutes. Leave to cool. Set up a conical flask, filter paper and funnel. Filter the cabbage and water. The filtrate (liquid) will be your indicator. Add a few drops of indicator to some acid in a test tube, some alkali in another test tube, and some water in another test tube. Record your results below.
