that are excused by the office or school official. Make-ups must be completed and turned in within one week from the day you were absent. This provides a weekend in order to complete one of the three options. Make-ups must be athletic or recreational in nature and last 30 minutes. Only one make-up may be done in a 24-hour period. Make-ups must be supervised by a parent or teacher. A make-up slip must be completely filled out and signed, with a phone number of the supervisor. After school athletic practices or games count toward your make-up. The make up will be done after the day missed unless otherwise prearranged.

Select an article from a newspaper, magazine or Create a new warm-up CD using off of the internet to read. Print the article and type a one page summary and response. The summary is who, what and where the article was about. Who is the author and why does he/she have an authority on this subject? The response is your thoughts on the subject. Did you agree or disagree? Is there a problem that you have a solution for? What are you going to do differently after reading this article?

Create a new warm-up CD using music with school-appropriate lyrics. Use the following times with a brief space in-between each song. Track 1: 30 sec. Track 2: 30 sec. Track 3: 10 sec. Track 4: 10 sec. Track 5: 10 sec. Track 6: 10 sec. Track 7: 10 sec. Track 8: 10 sec. Track 9: 10 sec. Track 10: 10 sec. Track 11: 10 sec.
