Purpose:

You can review these sample interview questions as a starting point for developing questions for your own implementation evaluation. They may also be useful when you meet with your evaluator to brainstorm interview questions specific to the theme of each of your magnet programs.

1. Can you provide a brief introduction to PS 217? a. Describe the student population, local community, staff, educational philosophy, challenges, etc. b. Please describe the former Communication Arts Technology magnet program. c. Describe the existing arts and writing instruction in the school. d. What are the goals or vision for the magnet program? i. How will it build on the existing magnet program? ii. How will it build on the existing arts and writing instruction? 2. Describe what planning has occurred for the magnet program thus far. a. Has a magnet planning team been developed? If yes, who comprises the team? If no, are there plans to create a team and when?

b. Have there been any planning meetings? When? What occurred? c. Has there been any curriculum planning/development around the magnet theme? When? What occurred?
