increasing 9(9-11-11-13-13) sts evenly spaced across – 80(90-100-110-120-130) sts. (P 1 row, k 1 row) twice, k1 row, end on RS. Change to Softwist Blue and k the next row, end on WS. Beg with a k row, work even in St st until piece measures 11” from beg, end on WS increasing 4(0-2-4-0-2) sts evenly spaced across last row – 84(90-102-114-120-132) sts. Change to Softwist purple and work even in Yoke Pat until piece measures 12” from beg, end on WS. Shape Armholes: Bind off 5(5-6-7-7-8) sts at beg of the next 2 rows – 74(80-90100-106-116) sts. Dec 1 st at each armhole edge every RS row 7(7-9-11-11-16) times – 60(66-72-78-84-84) sts. Work even until armholes measure 7 1/2(7 1/2-8-8 1/2-8 1/2-9)”, end on WS. Shape Shoulders: Bind off 3(4-4-5-6-6) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, 3(3-4-4-6-6) sts at beg of the next 2 rows, then 2(3-4-5-5-5) sts at beg of the next 4 rows, end on WS. LEFT FRONT With larger needles, using Hip-Hop, cast on 33(39-43-47-51-57) sts. Work in ribbing same as back for 4 1/2”, end on RS. Change to smaller needles and Bling Bling and k the next row, increasing 3(3-5-7-7-6) sts evenly spaced across – 36(42-48-54-58-63) sts. (P 1 row, k 1 row) twice, k 1 row, end on RS. Change to Softwist blue and k the next row, end on WS. Beg with a k row, work even in St st until piece measures 11” from beg, end on WS increasing 2(0-0-0-0-1) sts evenly spaced across last row – 38(42-48-54-58-64) sts. Change to Softwist purple and, keeping 1(0-0-0-2-2) sts each side in Reverse St st, work even in Yoke Pat until piece measures 12” from beg, end on WS. Shape Armhole: Next Row (RS): Bind off 5(5-6-7-7-8) sts, work to end – 33(3742-47-51-56) sts. Work 1 row even. Dec 1 st at armhole edge every RS row 7(7-911-11-16) times – 26(30-33-36-40-40) sts. Work even until armhole measures 6 1/2(6 1/2-7-7 1/2-7 1/2-8)”, end on RS. Shape Neck: Next Row (WS): Bind off 8 sts, work to end. Bind off 4(5-5-5-6-6) sts at same edge once, then dec 1 st at same edge EVERY row 4 times. When armhole measures 7 1/2(7 1/2-8-8 1/2-8 1/2-9)”, end on WS. Bind off 3(4-4-5-6-6) sts at armhole edge once, 3(3-4-4-6-6) sts once, then 2(3-4-5-5-5) sts twice for shoulder.

RIGHT FRONT

Work to correspond to left front, reversing all shaping. Bind off for armhole and shoulder on WS rows. Bind off for neck on RS rows. Work armhole decs at end of RS rows.

SLEEVES With larger needles, using Hip-Hop, cast on 37 sts. Work in ribbing same as back for 4 1/2”, end on RS. Change to smaller needles and Bling Bling and k the next row, increasing 3 sts evenly spaced across – 40 sts. (P 1 row, k 1 row) twice, k 1 row, end on RS. Change to Softwist blue and k the next row, end on WS. Beg with a k row, work in St st, inc 1 st each side every 1 1/4(1 1/4-3/4-3/4-3/4-1/2)” 10(10-1315-17-20) times. AT THE SAME TIME, when sleeve measures 14” from beg (before all incs have been completed), join Softwist purple and work in Yoke Pat, dividing any extra sts in half and working them at each side in Reverse St st. When all incs have been completed, work even on 60(60-66-70-74-80) sts until sleeve measures 18” from beg, end on WS. Shape Cap: Bind off 5(5-6-7-7-8) sts at beg of the next 2 rows – 50(50-54-56-6064) sts. Dec 1 st each side every other RS row 3(3-3-5-3-3) times, then every RS row 12(12-12-8-12-12) times, end on WS. Bind off remaining 20(20-24-30-30-34) sts.

FINISHING Sew shoulder seams. Left Frontband: With RS facing, using smaller needles and Softwist blue, beg at neck edge, pick up and k109(109-113-117-117-121) sts along left front edge. Knit 1 row. Change to Softwist purple and p 2 rows. Change to Suede and k 1 row, p 1 row. Change to Softwist purple and purl 1 row, end on RS. Beg with Row 2, work in ribbing same as back for 3 rows, end on WS. Bind off in ribbing. Right Frontband: With RS facing, using smaller needles and Softwist blue, beg at lower right edge, pick up and k109(109-113-117-117-121) sts along right front edge. Knit 1 row. Change to Softwist purple and p 2 rows. Change to Suede and k1 row, end on RS. Buttonhole Row (WS): P3(3-3-3-3-2), bind off 2 sts, * p until there are 18(18-1920-20-21) sts on RH needle after bound-off sts, bind off 2 sts, rep from * 4 times more, p to end. Next Row (RS): Change to Softwist purple and purl, cast on 2 sts over each pair of sts bound off on previous row. Complete same as for left frontband.

Collar: With RS facing, using larger needles and Hip-Hop, beg at inner edge of Softwist purple ribbing, pick up and k21 sts along right frontband and right neck edge, 39 sts across back neck edge, then 21 sts along left neck edge and left frontband to inner edge of Softwist purple ribbing – 81 sts. Beg with Row 2, work in ribbing same as back for 3”, end on WS. Bind off in ribbing. Sew in sleeves. Note: This garment was designed so the yoke pat on back and fronts and on sleeves do not match up. Sew side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons.
