Lychen Striatus: A case for your help Hello Sir, I got your mail id from one of your paper "Lychen Striatus In A Rare" submitted on scribed.com. The case which I am going to discuss here is somewhat similar but even rare as it happens in a child who is only 2.5 months old. The doctor has confirmed us that it is Lychen Striatus. This is about my son, who is only 2.5 months old and having lychen tripes, originating from naval extending along the stomach. And in thigh, both left and right and across chest to the right shoulder. Rashes were also observed in the nappy area. I have taken couple of opinion, one from local doctor who has given Akva Cream + Betnovate mixed together and to be applied over the marks (stripes); Eumosone Cream to be applied near the nappy area; Atrax Drops, 10 drops at bed time; and Tedibar Soap for bathing. After weeks time, I have observed certain improvement esp in the thighs where whiteness got lessened. But new marks started getting developed, that is on the chest and face (on the chin). As we are from Mumbai, pl help us on the follwoing: > Is it fully curable? If not then what is the probablity? > As I have also consulted Homeopath but treatment yet to start. Pl suggest in this case which one is better, Homeopath or Alopath? Homeopath doctor at Dr. Batra clinic has suggested that since alopathy medicine in this case consists of steroids which could be harmful for a child of 2.5 months. > If you can help us in finding out or reccomend a good dermatologist in Mumbai? > Any precaution that we need to take or mother? > What is the caustic factor? Thanks and regards, Sanjay K F/o Master Gunjan Singh A – 204; Sai Swar, Plot No – 20; Sec – 2; Kharghar, Navi Mumbai Pin - 410210 M: +91 9920637403
