Lesson/Activities Students create Frayer Method graphic organizer for topic words: Pangaea, continent, water, and land Students engage in identification of the 7 continents and 5 great oceans as a whole group. Students engage in whole-group online research and complete blank map of the world. The names of each continent (and short, noteworthy information on each) is discussed and written on their maps. Students play continent game online (http://world-geographygames.com/continents.html) Students come up individual and play speed rounds identifying the 7 continents. Application Students complete/fill in a blank map of the world independently, complete with continents and oceans.
