Piggy said that they could use this to call the others for a meeting. Many boys came up, having an age of five to twelve. Piggy asked for their names. Jack’s company came too. The boys had their meeting. They decided to choose a leader. They chose Ralph, because he was the one who called the meeting. Jack was very disappointed. Jack, Simon and Ralph roam the island to see if there’s someone else on the beach. Climbed a mountain and then told their stories to each other to know each one of them. They saw a pig, Jack was trying to kill the pig but he didn’t succeed. When Jack, Simon and Ralph returned, a meeting was called. Ralph told the boys that all they could do was to stay calm and wait for someone who will rescue them. Jack said that his group would be the one who will provide meat for them. Later on, Ralph and Jack had their conversation about the uninhabited island. Jack is the hunter forever after his prey while Ralph is the builder making huts so that they could be more comfortable. Ralph realized that one of the functions in the society was to provide food and shelter for everyone. Ralph now discussed about how they can maintain the fire on the mountain to attract the ships passing by. The boys gather up with a pile of firewoods. They used Piggy’s glasses to make fire.

The smallest boys were known as the Littluns. They spend most of their day eating fruits and playing. At the pool, Sam, Eric and Bill was discussing about clays. There were white and red clays. Jack started to paint his face with charcoal and clay. Bill saw Jack’s face and started to laugh at him. Piggy and Ralph sat on the beach while the others are swimming. They saw a ship but they discovered that the fire on the mountain is now gone. They realized that it is Jack’s responsibility. Ralph confronts Jack because of their irresponsibility. However, because Jack was very excited to hunt, they were no longer wanted to listen to Ralph. A feast was held because the hunters killed a pig. Ralph and the boy had their meeting. Ralph was discussing about the irresponsibility of the boys, no one builds huts, no one collects water for everyday drinking and no one keeps the fire on the mountain. Ralph and Piggy tries to take away the fears of the Littluns about the beast every night. One day there was a battle on air by aircrafts. Ralph entered a cave until Jack joined him in, and even the other boys. They pushed a huge rock into the sea to take away their fears. While they are walking, Jack suggested killing a pig again. Everyone agreed on him. Ralph joined them. In addition, he now understood why the hunters got so excited every time they will hunt. Jack and the boys walked through the mountain. They saw something like an ape asleep. All the boys are frightened about the beasts. Jack was the one whop called the meeting. He told the boys to choose another leader for them. Jack said he wanted now to go on with himself and not with Ralph. Piggy said that they could have fire on the sand. Nevertheless, when the time came it was finished the boys have vanished and joined Jack. Simon thinks that the Lord of the Flies was talking to him. A storm came up. Simon climbs up the mountain and saw a dead pilot from a parachute. He hardly ran down to tell the boys what he saw. Ralph and Piggy decide to go to Jack’s dinner party because they are so hungry. However, Jack and Ralph had their fight about who will be their groups are. Ralph and Piggy knew that there are some who did not join Jack, like Sam and Eric and some of the littluns. At the Castle Rock, there was Jack leading some of the boys. Piggy was wondering why Jack has to punish the boys for their minor mistakes. He cried because his glasses were stolen by the raiders to make fire on their own. Ralph went to Jack because of Piggy’s glasses. Jack threw a spear to Ralph, which made Ralph to escape. After this, Jack tortured the twins to join their group. Ralph sends an offering to the beast. The twin brother gives Ralph food and water and tells him to be careful. Ralph realized that he was now free from Jack. But every time he thinks about the events that had happened to him, his tears starts to run down on his face.
