2010 INSPIRATION

Jacqueline De Biase draws her inspiration for the 2010 Salinas collection from the works of Spain’s most prominent filmmaker, Pedro Almodóvar. The colours and prints are brought together, not in an accidental manner, but with pure emotion; vibrant, passionate, strong and solar. Red, the colour of passion, love, transgression, of desire. Yellow, of fun, optimism and the sun. Green of Life. Blue of luxury, turquoise of the sea. Pink of sensual affection. Prints capture playful icons; arrowed hearts, larger than life stripes, gigantic dots. Pink coloured leopard skin. Flowers mix with plumes and hearts.
