When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging Seems all uphill, When the funds are low and the Debts are high, And you want to smile but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down A bit, rest if you must, but don’t You quit.

EDITORIAL Today’s Youth and Education Despite the continuous effort of the DepEd to raise the quality of Philippine education, still we could visualize that most Filipino students show poor academic performance- low test results, poor comprehension, misbehavior, and passive attitude towards studies. What could be the problem? The system or the student’s attitude? Are you, as student, not aware that education is a preparation for the future? ‘Coz if you are, then for sure, you have to work on it pretty well. We go to school to widen our knowledge and have a chance to enter the world of wisdom. In any way we want, we can use it in its full greatness- a way to our full progress morally and spiritually. The first thing that is perhaps best to do is for us to prioritize things. It’s either we choose to join the various organization in school and neglect our studies or concentration in our academics and limit our participation in school organization especially if it could affect our academic performance. One should never think that non- academic activities are more important than those of academics. After all, every one goes to school for academic purposes. All it requires is “dedication”. It’s okay to get involve in school organizations so long as we know how to manage our time and that we can excel both in academics and non- academic activities.

Dear fellow students, don’t you notice the noisy students who are always at the corridors? Maybe you don’t because you are one of them. You are disturbing classes, don’t you realize that? In the spirit of unity and belongingness, let us wear our school uniforms with pride and dignity. Love for our school can be shown in simple ways- obey school rules. There are no hard rules so far. Perhaps the SG officers, and lower council being on top, should take a look at themselves first before the other students.
