LINUX INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

Switch on the computer.

and next press DELETE button

And it goes to BIOS setup.

Go to BOOT options.

And select the Boot device option.

And then Press the ENTER key.

And next it goes to boot device options to select like…below 1st BOOT DEVICE SELECT ------CD-ROM 2nd BOOT DEVICE SELECT-----HDD 3rd BOOT DEVICE SELECT-----LAN OR FDD

Select 1st boot device from CDROM.

And press F10 key to save the settings.

And press Y and OK.

Next it will be appear boot from cd-rom.

And press ENTER key.

Next appear welcome to RED HAT LINUX.

And click next button.

Select the language selection(U.S English).

And click next button.

Mouse configuration, select the present using mouse configurations.

Key board configuration language.

Installation types, so here select the 1.personal desktop install.

And click next button.

Disk partitioning setup. Select Manually partition with disk druid.

Disk setup: here select one by one and delete all partitions.

And then select the free space, and select NEW option and select the mount point ‘/boot’ And allocate the size 100MB. OK.

Again select the free space and ‘NEW’ option, here mount point( not applicable), file system type is select ‘SWAP’ and allocate size is double of the RAM(512). OK

Again select the free space and ‘NEW’ option, here select the mount point is ‘/root', and select the maximum allowable size.

Boot loader configuration.

Click next button.

Network configuration.

Firewall configuration.

Additional language support.

Time zone selections.

Set root password.

Personal desktop defaults.

About to installations.

And select the next button.

Installing packages.

Formatting/file system and transferring install image to hard disk..

After complete the installation it is asking the two options-1.create a boot disk 2.dont create a boot disk. here select the second option.

And click next option.

Graphical interface configuration- it is automatically detected. click next button.

Customize graphical configuration-it is automatically detected.

select high true color (18-bit),and graphical size is (800-600).

Configuration

Next it will be appear welcome to Linux-click next forward button.

Date and time settings-click forward button.

Click forward button.

Additational CDs.

Finished setup.

Next it is asking username and password.

Next appear like this….
