CHI SIAMO La settima edizione del Concorso Internazionale "Città di Penne" è pronta ad aprire le porte a tutti i musicisti italiani e stranieri che vogliano confrontarsi, acquisire esperienze, sottoporsi al giudizio attento di grandi maestri che fanno parte della Commissione di valutazione. Nella prima metà di giugno l'incantevole Borgo di Penne, culla d'Arte e di Cultura (da tantissimi anni ormai ospita il famoso premio letterario), si anima di musica. Tutto diventa più prezioso: a ciò contribuiscono il paesaggio straordinario, il clima salubre, la bellezza dei vicoli, la rarità dei tanti musei aperti sempre per l'occasione, le specialità culinarie, l'ospitalità dei Bed & Breakfast e la cortesia degli abitanti del luogo. Anni di sacrificio mi hanno portata ad essere più che mai certa che queste occasioni sono fortemente necessarie per chi desideri intraprendere il difficile cammino artistico. Nel ringraziare l'Amministrazione Comunale nella figura del Sindaco, Dott. Mario Semproni e dell'Assessore alla Cultura - Eventi - Turismo Dott. Gilberto Petrucci per la loro disponibilità, tutti gli sponsor che hanno creduto in questa iniziativa e la Presidente dell'Associazione "Le Muse" di Penne, Prof. Lidia Duttilo, per la preziosa collaborazione, vi aspetto numerosi.

WHO WE ARE The 7th International Competition "City of Penne" is ready to open its doors to all the italians and foreigners musicians that want to compare themselves, obtain experience and submit themselves to the judgement of grandiose masters that are part of the Commission of valuation. In the first half of June the enchanting village of Penne, birthplace of art and culture (Penne from many years hosts a famous literary reward) the village is enlivened with music. Everything becomes more precious: the exceptional scenery, the salubrious climate, the beauty of the alleys, the rarity of many museum always opened for the occasion, the food specialities, Bed & Breakfast hospitality and the courtesy of the residents. Years of sacrifice assured me that these occasions are strongly necessary for who wishes to start the difficult artistic path. Thanks to the Comunal Administration figured by the Major, Doctor Mario Semproni and the Culture's Municipal Magistrate of Turismo Doctor Gilberto Petrucci for their availability, to all the sponsor who have believed in this initiative and the President of the Association "Le Muse" of Penne, Prof. Lidia Duttilo, for their precious collaboration, I expect many of you.

REGOLAMENTO DEL CONCORSO REGULATIONS OF THE COMPETITION Art. 1) I Primi Premi Assoluti di ciascuna categoria dovranno presentarsi al Galà di Premiazione che si terrà domenica 9 giugno 2019 alle ore 17:00 presso l’Auditorium San Giovanni Evangelista in Penne. N.B. La mancata partecipazione al Galà di Premiazione comporta la rinuncia ai premi che in nessun caso saranno spediti. Art. 1) The Absolutes Winners of each categories will have to show up at the Award Ceremony Gala that will be on June 9th 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in Auditorium San Giovanni Evangelista in Penne. N.B. The failure participation at the Award Ceremony Gala involves the rinunciation of prizes that will not be sent. Art. 2) I concorrenti dovranno esibire, al momento della prova, un documento di riconoscimento ed una copia dei brani in programma. Art. 2) The competitors must show, at the moment of the examination, an ID document and a copy of the songs in program. Art. 3) I concorrenti saranno ascoltati in ordine alfabetico. Art. 3) The competitors will be listened in alphabetical order. Art. 4) L’esecuzione a memoria non è obbligatoria. Art. 4) The execution by memory is not obligatory. Art. 5) I giudizi della commissione giudicatrice sono insindacabili ed inappellabili. La giuria sarà formata da Docenti di Conservatorio e da personalità eminenti nel campo musicale ( i nomi saranno visibili dal 20 Aprile 2019 sul sito www.concorsocittadipenne.it ). Qualora i componenti della commissione abbiano rapporti didattici con i concorrenti, si asterranno dal voto. Art. 5) The judgments of the Commission are unquestionable and irrevocable. The jury will be assembled by the Conservatory’s teachers and eminents personalities (the names will be visible from 20 April 2019 on the website www.concorsocittadipenne.it). If the commision’s members have didactics rapports with the competitors, they will be abstain from the vote. Art. 6) I risultati saranno resi noti al termine di ciascuna categoria. Non saranno riportati i punteggi inferiori a 80/100. La premiazione dei Secondi, Terzi e Quarti classificati avverrà alla fine delle esibizioni delle Categorie stessa. Art. 6) The results will be announced at the end of each categories. The scores lower than 80/100 will not be reported. The award Ceremony of second place, third place and fouth place will be at the end of the category itself. Art. 7) Agli insegnanti che presenteranno i candidati risultati vincitori di Premio, sarà assegnato un Diploma di Merito. Art. 7) To the teachers who will present the winning candidates of Award, will be assigned a Certificate of Merit.

Art. 8) Eventuali registrazioni o trasmissioni radiofoniche e televisive delle esecuzioni non costituiranno diritto per alcun compenso agli esecutori. Art. 8) Eventual recordings or radiophonics and televisions programs of the executions will not constitute any payement to the executors. Art. 9) I dati personali ed ogni altro elemento appreso dall’Associazione “Le Muse”, sono soggetti a vincolo di riservatezza e trattati nel rispetto dei diritti della persona, ai sensi dell’art. 13 del D.Lgs 196/03 si informa il candidato che i suoi dati personali, forniti all’atto dell’iscrizione, verranno trattati unicamente ai fini di inviare comunicazioni relative all’Associazione. Art. 9) Personal data and every other element known by the Association “Le Muse”, are subjects to a confidentiality restriction and these will be treated in the respect of the person’s rights . According to the article 13 of the D.Lgs 196/03 the personal data of the candidate , provided at the registration, will be treated only for sending communications of the Association. Art. 10) L’iscrizione al Concorso comporta l’accettazione incondizionata delle regole stabilite dal presente Bando. Art. 10) The registration of the Competition inplies unconditional acceptance of the rules established from the present Announcement. Art. 11) Le spese del soggiorno e di viaggio sono a carico dei partecipanti. Art. 11) Travel and accomodation costs are paid by the competitors. Art. 12) I concorrenti potranno provare il pianoforte prima dell’inizio dell’esecuzione della propria categoria. Art. 12) The competitors can try the piano before the beginning of the execution of their own category. Art. 13) L’organizzazione si riserva la facoltà di apportare al presente Bando eventuali modifiche ed eventualmente abolire una categoria qualora non si ritenga sufficiente il numero dei concorrenti. L’Associazione non si assumerà la responsabilità di rischi o danni di qualsiasi natura ai concorrenti durante il corso di tutta la manifestazione. Art. 13) The organization reserves its right to make possibles changes at the present Announcement and in case abolish a category if the number of the competitors is not considered enough. The Association doesn’ assume the responsibility of risks or damages of any nature to the competitors during all the competition. Art. 14) Per le categorie Archi-Fiati il Concorso mette a disposizione un pianista accompagnatore. Chi ne avesse necessità deve inviare le parti improrogabilmente e contestualmente all’iscrizione. Art. 14) For the categories String Instruments- Wind Instruments the Competition provides an accompanist pianist. Who needs the accompanist piano must send the songs at the same time of the registration. Art. 15) Il calendario delle prove e l’ordine delle esecuzioni sarà disponibile entro il 27 maggio 2019 visitando il sito del Concorso www.concorsocittadipenne.it Art. 15) The calendar of tests and the order of the performances will be available by 27th May 2019 visiting the site of the Contest www.concorsocittadipenne.it .

Fra i Vincitori Assoluti delle categorie di Giovani esecutori Pianoforte, Fiati e Archi solisti, che si esibiranno nel concerto finale di premiazione il giorno 9 giugno 2019, nell’Auditorium di S. Giovanni Evangelista, verrà selezionato un candidato che effettuerà un concerto con l’Orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio “L. D’Annunzio” di Pescara nella stagione 2019/2020. Among the Absolute Winners of the categories Young Executor Piano, Wind and String soloists who will perform in the final concert of the award ceremony on 9th June 2019, in the Auditorium of S. Giovanni Evangelista a candidate will be selected to perform in a concert with the Orchestra Sinfonica del Conservatorio “L. D’Annunzio” of Pescara in 2019/2020. A insindacabile giudizio della Commissione, fra tutte le categorie compresa il canto lirico, verrà offerto un concerto premio nella stagione dell’Associazione “Musica e Cultura” di Roseto degli Abruzzi - edizione 2020, un concerto premio nell’edizione “Incontri d’Estate” di Penne 2020 annessa al Concorso, un concerto premio presso gli “Amici della Musica” di Jesi nella stagione 2020 e un concerto premio “Ariadimusica - Roma” nella stagione 2020. 2° Concorso Internazionale di CANTO LIRICO “Città di Penne” First International Lyrical Singing Competition “Città di Penne” Presidente di Commissione M° Vincenzo De Vivo Commission President M° Vincenzo De Vivo REGOLAMENTO REGULATION Art. 1) Il Concorso si svolgerà a Penne dal 7 al 9 giugno 2019, nell’Auditorium di S. Giovanni Evangelista. Art. 1) The Competition will take place in Penne from 7th to 9th June 2019, in the Auditorium S. Giovanni Evangelista. Art. 2) Il Concorso è aperto alla partecipazione di cantanti lirici di qualsiasi nazionalità senza limiti di età. Potranno accedere direttamente alla Semifinale i vincitori di altri Concorsi Lirici Internazionali; la relative certificazioni dovranno essere allegate alla domanda di partecipazione. Art. 2) The Competition is open to lyrical singers of all nationalities without age limits. The winners of others Internationals Competitions of Lyrical Singing will have direct acces to the Semifinal; the relatives certifications must be attached to the application form. Art. 3) Il programma comprenderà quattro (4) arie d’opera, senza limitazione di epoca o di autore, ma con almeno una (1) scelta tra quelle indicate nella lista d’obbligo allegata al presente bando. Le arie devono essere presentate in lingua originale. Art. 3) The musical repertoire must include four (4) opera arias, without any limits of era or composer, but with at least one (1) choices from those indicated in the attached list arias. The arias must be performed in original language. Art. 4) Il Concorso si articola in tre prove. Art. 4) The Competition will consist of three rounds: 1. ELIMINATORIA: Esecuzione di un brano a scelta del concorrente tra quelli da lui presentati. 1. PRELIMINARY ROUND: Execution of an aria chosen by the candidate among the ones he presented . 2. SEMIFINALE: Esecuzione di un brano a scelta della giuria tra quelli presentati dal concorrente. 2. SEMIFINAL: Execution of an aria chosen by the jury among the ones presented by the candidate. 3. La prova finale sarà aperta al pubblico. Il giorno 9 giugno 2019 dalle ore 9.00 fino alle ore 13.30 i concorrenti avranno a loro disposizione 10 minuti per poter provare con il pianista ufficiale del Concorso. Ogni candidato è tuttavia libero di farsi accompagnare da un proprio pianista di fiducia. The final, will be open to the public. On June 9th 2019 from 9 am to 1.30 pm, competitors will have 10 minutes to try with a pianist. Each candidate is free to be accompanied by his own trusted pianist.

Art. 5) Tutti i concorrenti dovranno essere provvisti degli spartiti per canto e pianoforte dei pezzi scelti per il programma. L’ordine di esecuzione sarà stabilito mediante sorteggio di una lettera dell’alfabeto alla presenza dei concorrenti prima dello svolgimento della prova eliminatoria. I concorrenti assenti alla fase eliminatoria saranno esclusi e la tassa non verrà rimborsata. I nomi dei concorrenti ammessi alle fasi successive alle eliminatorie saranno resi noti tramite affissione. La finale sarà aperta al pubblico. In caso di ex aequo il premio verrà diviso. I Finalisti del Concorso saranno segnalati ai Sovrintendenti e Direttori Artistici delle Fondazioni Lirico-Sinfoniche Italiane. I vincitori potranno ritirare il premio la sera del concerto, la mancata partecipazione comporterà la perdita del premio assegnato. I primi Tre Classificati dovranno esibirsi nel concerto che si terrà il giorno 9 Giugno alle ore 17:00 nell’Auditorium di S. Giovanni Evangelista assieme a tutti gli altri primi premi assoluti delle altra categorie. Art. 8) The jury will award the following prizes:

In case of ex aequo the prize will be divided. The Finalists of the Competition will be recommended to Superintendents and Artistic Directors of the Italian Lyrical and Symphonic Institutions. The winners will be able to collect the prize on the evening of the concert, the missing partecipation will result in the loss of the prize awarded. The first three classificated will have to perform at the concert that will take place on June 9th at 5:00 p.m. at the Auditorium of S. Giovanni Evangelista with all the others winners of the other categories.

Art 9) Il giudizio della commissione è insindacabile. Le votazioni, come da regolamento interno, saranno a scrutinio segreto. La Commissione esaminatrice può non assegnare i premi qualora non ritenga meritevole alcun candidato. La Commissione può interrompere in qualsiasi momento la prova del candidato. La Commissione sarà composta da musicisti di fama internazionale e sarà presieduta dal M° Vincenzo De Vivo. Art. 9) The judgement of the jury is unquestionable . The votes , as for internal rules, are secret. The jury may not award any prize if any candidate is considered deserving. The jury will be able to interrupt the candidate’s test at any time. The jury will be made up of musicians of international reputation and the jury will be preside by M° Vincenzo De Vivo.

Art. 10) DISPOSIZIONI GENERALI L’organizzazione si riserva di apportare al presente regolamento tutte le variazioni che dovessero rendersi necessarie. I concorrenti, con la firma apposta sulla domanda di iscrizione, accetteranno implicitamente la normativa concorsuale e tale firma varrà, ai sensi della legge 675/96, come autorizzazione al trattamento dei dati personali per esigenze di comunicazione e selezione. Le fasi del concorso potranno essere riprese da emittenti radiofoniche e televisive e/o registrate, senza che i concorrenti abbiano nulla a pretendere. nel caso in cui l’organizzazione fosse costretta ad annullare il Concorso per cause di forza maggiore, verrà rimborsata la tassa di iscrizione. Art. 10) GENERAL REGULATIONS The competition organizers reserves the right to bring all the necessary changes to the present regulations. The candidates, with the signature on the application, will give their implicit agreement to the competition rules and such as signature is also (675/96 law), a consent to use personal data for communications and selection. The competition organizers have unlimited rights to broadcast, telecast, and record, videotape, film and photograph the competition and to make audio or visual recording of them without any payment to the competitors or prize-winners. Should the organizers be in the necessity to cancel the Competition for major force, those concerned will be promptly informed and the entrance fee will be refunded.
