The LG watch phone is a new way to tell time and talk on a phone. The watch was originally developed in Europe around the 1500’s. Machine- made watches were attempted in 1838 and were successfully developed in the 1850’s. Many companies were formed especially for the wrist watch. Some did not last so long while other companies achieved extreme success. After 1875, cheaper watches were bough to peoples attention, some watches were eventually sold for under a dollar. Between 1850 and the 1950’s the watch first came to America and over a billion watches were made. The first watch ever was created by a guy named Peter Henlein (1479-1542) of Nuremburg, Germany. When people started to make new watches during the seventeenth and eighteenth century men would not really wear them. The watches would be for the women to wear, the only watches that men would be cough in were pocket watches. Often watches are bought for there looks because of them always being precise all the time. The first watch that men and women were able to have were pocket watches, and after pocket watches were watches that were attached to the lining of a jacket or corset. People said that the first wrist watch was created by a nanny around the end of the 19th century. She put a clock around her wrist by using a piece of silk and tying it around her wrist Louis Cartier was the first man who made watches that we wear today. When he made a watch for Santos Dumont, by 1911 that watch became the blue print of what wrist watches look like in this era of time. Soon after the first wrist watch was made, the
3 shapes started to change from the classical round shape to square and other movado. One of the first to come out with new designs was the most known “poly plan” shaped watch. In this era watches were very different. They were different shapes, colors, and sizes. The newest watch that just came out is the LG watch phone. The LG watch phone is sponsored by CBS Interactive Inc. It contain a tempered glass that is touch screen and it makes it easy to dial numbers, even though there were tiny keypads. The screen is only measured at 1.43 inches diagonally. According to LG “texting” will be done in a similar manner with a virtual T9 keypad. The LG watch phone also has a music player. The music that comes out of the speakers of the watch is very loud. If you would not want to take calls on speaker you could get a blue tooth headset and connect it to the phone. The watch phone has 70MB storage space. The charging pins are on the other side of the watch which could be connected to the charger. Also on the right side of the watch there are three buttons; talk, clear, and end buttons. The LG watch phone also has a camera included. On the upper right corner of the phone is a little camera. It has a variety of colors from black, silver, blue, red, and pink. It has a touchscreen, three side mounted buttons, bluetooth, a speaker phone, and a music player, also it water resistant. It has a metal casing and it is around 13.9 mm thick. The LG watch phone will only be supplied in Europe because they would want to see how everything works out over there first, and then if they feel as though that it is good, then they will start releasing them in the U.S. The company used materials and stylistic parts from different watches, so that the people who are buying them would be comfortable wearing them with anything, on any occasion.
4 It is the first touch watch phone in the world that was ever made. LG did not have to sacrifice some of the abilities that the watch phone did which resulted in the size. It basically didn’t have to take away any of the programs that the phone included, just because of the size it was. There is a long history of watches being made from 1838 to 2009. 6 driven movement. The fusee is a spiral grooved cone used to equalize the power of the mainspring. It is mostly found in some 19th century older watches.
The jewel is used to reduce the wear and decrease the friction of the moving parts of a watch. The lever is under the bezel, after removing the bezel, and pulling the lever, the hands will swing free when the crown is turned. A micrometric regulator allows a watch maker to adjust a watch more precisely. It is found on almost all watches from the mid 1800’s till our time now. There are over twenty different parts to making a watch. There is the pallet bridge, pallet, stud cover plate, stud holder, regulator, balance bridge, spring, stud, escape wheel bridge, fourth wheel, center wheel, third wheel, third wheel, pillar plate, ratchet, barrel drum, main spring, barrel arbor, barrel cover, ratchet cric. Wrist watches were considered to be accessories for women, not men. Men preferred the more traditional pocket watches that had been around longer then the wrist watch. They first started wearing watches when they were in battle and since they had to look at the watch to see the time it became hard not to get hurt because putting your head down is not a good thing to do when you are in battle and it was hard to have a pocket watch because since it was hanging on something that had to keep getting pulled up until it came out your pocket. Soldiers found it easier to just wear a wrist. Since the beginning when the first wrist watch came out the women would not really wear them because they were over sized and husky and they were not always accurate sometimes so they did not really were them. When people started coming out
7 with new and better looking designs then women took a better interest in them and they became known as accessories that women would wear. All of these time periods lead up to the 2009 LG watch phone. Which in 2009, the LG watch phone is introduced to Europe and soon to every where else around the world.
