ARELLANO UNIVERSITY – PASIG Institute of Nursing
November 1, 2008 Dr. Emma A. Dimitui Dean College of Education Dear Dr. Dimitui, Greetings! We, the Senior Nursing students of AU–Pasig Section Emerald, are currently taking up Leadership and Management (NCM 105) as part of our curriculum. And one of the primary course requirements is to organize and conduct a seminar related to our field of study. Thus, we have invited representatives from different rescue units to take part in our “Rescue 117: Crash Course on Basic Paramedic Skills for Student Nurses” seminar. And volunteers from the MMDA Rescue Unit, Association of Philippine Volunteer Fire Brigade Inc, Pasig Rescue Unit and Ugong Rescue Unit have already confirmed their participation. All rescue unit speakers will conduct 30minute lectures and demonstrations on February 6, 2008 from 8:00a.m.to 12:00 noon. In order for us to have a well organized seminar on the above mentioned date, we will utilize the AU quadrangle and entire parking area so that the rescue units can properly conduct their demonstrations and showcase their equipments (i.e. ambulance, fire trucks, tower trucks and rescue vehicles etc.). We do not wish to cause panic among your faculty and students when they hear the siren, especially with the presence of emergency vehicles on our school grounds. So, in order to avoid confusion during the event, may this serve as a forewarning of our activities? Hoping for your kind consideration. . Thank you very much. Sincerely yours, Rhea Arcos
